5. Installation
The hykolity LED Shop Lights offer versatile installation options: hanging mount or surface mount.
5.1. Hanging Mount
- Determine the desired hanging location and mark the positions for the J-hooks. Ensure the hooks are securely fastened into a ceiling joist or appropriate anchor point.
- Attach the hanging chains to the J-hooks.
- Connect the chains to the mounting points on the LED shop light fixture. Adjust chain length to achieve the desired height.
5.2. Surface Mount
- Mark the desired mounting locations on the ceiling or wall.
- If mounting to drywall, drill pilot holes and insert the plastic anchors. For wood surfaces, drill pilot holes directly.
- Secure the mounting brackets to the surface using the provided mounting screws.
- Align the LED shop light fixture with the installed mounting brackets and snap it into place.
5.3. Linking Multiple Lights
These LED shop lights are designed to be linkable, allowing you to connect up to 6 units together for extended lighting coverage.
- Install the first light fixture as either a hanging or surface mount.
- Connect the power cord of the first light to a standard electrical outlet.
- For subsequent lights, use the integrated linking connectors on the ends of the fixtures to create a continuous chain. Ensure secure connections.
- Only one power cord is needed for a linked series of up to 6 lights.
6. Operation
Once installed and connected to a power source, operate the hykolity LED Shop Light using the integrated on/off switch located on the power cord. For linked units, a single switch will control all connected lights.
7. Maintenance
These LED shop lights are designed for long-lasting performance with minimal maintenance.
- Cleaning: Ensure the fixture is off and cool before cleaning. Wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Inspection: Periodically check the mounting hardware and electrical connections to ensure they are secure.
- Bulb Replacement: The LED light source is integrated and not user-replaceable. The fixture has a lifespan of up to 50,000 hours.
8. Troubleshooting
8.1. Light Does Not Turn On
