Safety Information

Setup: Butane Refilling

Your PROMISE Torch Lighter is shipped without butane fuel due to mailing regulations. It must be filled before first use.

  1. Prepare Butane: Use a high-quality butane gas canister with a long universal filling tip.
  2. Bleed Air (Optional but Recommended): Before refilling, invert the lighter and use a small tool (like a pen tip) to press the refill valve to release any residual air from the tank. This helps prevent air pockets and ensures a more complete fill.
  3. Refill: Invert the lighter and firmly press the butane canister nozzle vertically into the lighter's refill valve located at the bottom. Hold for approximately 5-10 seconds. Repeat 2-3 times if necessary, allowing a few seconds between each press for the gas to settle.
  4. Check Fuel Level: The transparent fuel tank allows you to easily monitor the butane level.
  5. Wait: After refilling, wait at least 2-3 minutes before igniting the lighter. This allows the butane to reach room temperature and stabilize, ensuring proper ignition.
