Safety Instructions

• Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
• Do not use a battery pack or appliance that is damaged or modified. Damaged or modified batteries may exhibit unpredictable behavior resulting in fire, explosion or risk of injury.
• Do not expose a battery pack or appliance to fire or excessive temperature. Exposure to fire or temperature above 130°C (265°F) may cause explosion.
• Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the battery pack or appliance outside of the temperature range specified in the instructions. Charging improperly or at temperatures outside of the specified range may damage the battery and increase the risk of fire.
• Have servicing performed by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the product is maintained.
• Do not modify or attempt to repair the appliance or the battery pack (as applicable) except as indicated in the instructions for use and care.

Setup

Unpacking and Assembly

• Main Unit Assembly:
  1. Connect the main vacuum body to the extension wand.

Charging the Battery

The BHFEV182CP-QW uses an 18V Lithium-Ion battery. For optimal performance, fully charge the battery before first use.

Maintenance

Emptying the Dust Container

The transparent 650 ml dust container should be emptied regularly to maintain optimal suction performance.

• Ensure the vacuum is turned off and the battery is removed before emptying.
• Locate the dust container release button, typically near the handle. Press it to detach the container.
• Position the container over a trash bin. Open the bottom flap to release the collected dirt and debris. The "pepper mill system" allows for easy removal and cleaning of the filter.

Cleaning the Filters

Regular cleaning of the cartridge filter is crucial for maintaining suction power and preventing motor strain.

• If necessary, rinse the filter under cool running water. Ensure it is completely dry before reinserting it into the vacuum. Allow at least 24 hours for air drying.
• Reassemble the filter and dust container, then reattach to the vacuum.

Cleaning the Brush Roll

The anti-tangling motor floor brush minimizes hair wrap, but occasional cleaning may be required.

• Turn off the vacuum and remove the battery.
• Access the brush roll compartment, usually by releasing a latch or cover on the floor head.
• Remove any tangled hair or debris from the brush roll using scissors or a brush.
• Reinsert the brush roll and secure the cover.
