Follow these steps for optimal brushing:

  1. Wet Brush Head and Apply Toothpaste: Dampen the bristles of the brush head and apply a small amount of toothpaste.
  2. Position the Toothbrush: Place the brush head against your teeth at a slight angle towards the gumline.
  3. Select a Mode: Press the power button to turn on the toothbrush. Press the power button repeatedly to cycle through the 5 available cleaning modes:
    • WHITE: Strongest mode for stubborn plaque and stain removal.
    • CLEAN: Medium intensity for daily normal teeth cleaning.
    • SENSITIVE: Gentle motion for sensitive gums and teeth.
    • MASSAGE: Pulsating action for gum stimulation and improved circulation.
    • POLISH: For teeth polishing and brightening.
  4. Brush Your Teeth: Gently move the brush head across all surfaces of your teeth. The toothbrush features a 2-minute smart timer, which is the dentist-recommended brushing time. It also includes a 30-second interval alert system that pauses briefly to remind you to move to a different quadrant of your mouth (upper right, upper left, lower right, lower left).
  5. Power Off: The toothbrush will automatically turn off after 2 minutes. You can also press and hold the power button to turn it off manually at any time.
  6. Rinse: After brushing, rinse your mouth thoroughly and rinse the brush head under running water.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Proper cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and hygiene of your toothbrush:

  • After Each Use: Rinse the brush head and the upper part of the handle thoroughly under running water to remove any toothpaste residue.
  • Detaching Brush Head: Periodically remove the brush head and rinse the connection area on both the brush head and the handle.
  • Wipe Handle: Wipe the handle with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the entire handle in water for extended periods, although it is waterproof for normal use.
  • Storage: Store the toothbrush upright in a dry place.
  • Brush Head Replacement: For optimal performance and hygiene, replace the brush head every 3 months, or sooner if the bristles become frayed. Replacement heads are available from Pursonic.
