Setup
Follow these steps to set up your Depusheng DA8 mixer for operation.
Initial Connection

- Connect your main output speakers or amplifier to the L MAIN OUT R XLR jacks on the rear panel.

Connecting Input Devices

- Microphones: Connect dynamic or condenser microphones to the XLR inputs on the desired channels. If using a condenser microphone, ensure the +48V phantom power is OFF before connecting, then activate it using the +48V button on the main control section.
- Line-Level Instruments/Devices: Connect instruments like keyboards, guitars (with a DI box), or other audio devices to the 1/4" LINE inputs on the desired channels.
- External Playback Devices (RCA): Connect CD players, media players, or other devices to the TAPE IN RCA jacks.
- USB Flash Drive: Insert a USB flash drive containing MP3 files into the USB socket on the main control section.
- Computer Connection: The USB port can also be used to connect the mixer to a computer for audio playback or recording.
Operating Instructions
This section details how to operate the various functions of your Depusheng DA8 mixer.
Powering On and Basic Audio Routing
- After all connections are made, turn on the mixer using the Power Switch on the rear panel.
- Ensure all channel volume faders and the main L/R fader are at their lowest position before playing audio.
- For each active input channel, slowly increase the Gain Adjustment Knob until the Peak Signal Indicator occasionally flashes, then back off slightly. This sets the optimal input level.
- Slowly raise the individual channel's Volume Fader to bring the sound into the mix.
- Gradually raise the L MAIN R fader to control the overall output volume.
- Adjust the Headphone Volume Control to monitor the mix through your headphones. Use the Monitor Button (PFL/AFL) on individual channels to solo and listen to specific inputs before they reach the main mix.
Equalization (EQ)
Each channel features a 3-band EQ (High, Mid, Low) to shape the tone of your audio. Adjust these knobs to enhance or cut specific frequencies.
- HF (High Frequency): Controls the brightness and clarity of the sound. Turn clockwise to boost, counter-clockwise to cut.
- MF (Mid Frequency): Affects the presence and body of vocals and instruments.
- LF (Low Frequency): Manages the bass and warmth of the sound.
Bluetooth Wireless Streaming
The mixer supports Bluetooth connectivity for streaming audio from your smart devices.

- Press the Function Button on the main control section until "Bluetooth" appears on the display.
- On your smart device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select "Depusheng DA8" (or similar name) from the list to pair.
- Once paired, audio from your device will stream to the mixer. Control the volume using the MP3 Playback Volume knob.
- The Bluetooth range is approximately 1.5 feet for optimal performance.
USB/MP3 Playback
Play audio files directly from a USB flash drive.

- Insert a USB flash drive containing MP3 files into the USB Socket. The mixer will automatically switch to USB mode or you may need to select it using the Function Button.
- Use the navigation buttons (e.g., play/pause, skip tracks) on the main control section to control playback.
- Adjust the volume using the MP3 Playback Volume knob.
- Use the MP3 Player Signal Distribution Button to route the USB audio to specific channels (e.g., channels 7/8) for further mixing and EQ.
Effects (FX)

- On each channel, use the FX Send knob to send a portion of that channel's signal to the internal effects processor.

Maintenance
