3. Setup and Installation

Installation Steps:

  1. Turn Off Power: Locate the circuit breaker or fuse box that controls the power to the lighting fixture. Turn off the power completely to prevent electric shock. Verify power is off using a voltage tester.
  2. Remove Existing Lamp: Carefully remove the existing fluorescent T8 lamp from the fixture. Rotate the lamp 90 degrees and gently pull it out of the lampholders.
  3. Insert LED Lamp: Align the pins of the Philips LED T8 bulb with the slots in the lampholders. Insert the pins into the slots and rotate the bulb 90 degrees until it clicks securely into place. Ensure both ends of the bulb are firmly seated.
  4. Restore Power: Once the LED bulb is securely installed, restore power to the fixture at the circuit breaker or fuse box.
  5. Test: Turn on the light switch to confirm the LED bulb is functioning correctly.

Note: If the LED bulb does not light up, ensure it is properly seated and that the fixture's electronic ballast is compatible. Refer to the ballast manufacturer's specifications for compatibility.
