Setup

1. Parent Unit Setup

1. Charge the Parent Unit: Connect the AC adapter to the Parent Unit and plug it into a standard electrical outlet. Allow the unit to charge fully before first use.
2. Power On/Off: Press and hold the power button (usually located on the top or side) for approximately 3 seconds to turn the unit on or off.
3. Stand: Utilize the integrated kickstand on the back of the Parent Unit for convenient tabletop viewing.

2. Baby Unit (Camera) Setup and Mounting

The LookOut Duo cameras offer versatile placement options:

• Tabletop Placement: Place the camera on a flat, stable surface such as a dresser or shelf. Ensure it has a clear line of sight to the monitoring area.
• No-Hole Wall Mounting (PrestoMount): The system includes a No-Hole PrestoMount for easy wall installation without drilling.
1. Clean the wall surface with rubbing alcohol (do not use household cleaners or water).
2. Remove the backing from the wall mount adhesive.
3. Press the wall mount firmly onto the wall for 30 seconds.
4. Wait 24 hours before attaching the camera to the wall mount to ensure proper adhesion.
5. Once mounted, the camera can be easily adjusted in any direction to achieve the desired viewing angle.
• Traditional Screw Mount: For a more permanent installation, the camera can also be mounted using screws and wall anchors (not included).

3. Syncing Cameras

The LookOut Duo system comes pre-synced. If you need to re-sync or add additional cameras (up to 4 total, sold separately), follow the instructions in the Parent Unit's menu under "Add Cam".

Operating Instructions

1. Parent Unit Controls

• Power Button: Press and hold to turn the unit on/off. A short press can toggle the video screen on/off while audio continues.
• Volume Control: Use the up/down arrow buttons on the control panel to adjust the audio volume.
• Digital Zoom: Press the zoom button (magnifying glass icon) to digitally zoom in on the camera's view. Press again to zoom out.
• Two-Way Talk: Press and hold the talk button (speech bubble icon) to speak through the camera to your child. Release the button to hear audio from the camera.
• Menu Navigation: Press the menu button (three horizontal lines icon) to access settings such as brightness, view camera, scan, add/delete camera, and temperature units.

2. Camera Features

• Automatic Night Vision: The camera automatically activates infrared night vision in low-light conditions, providing a clear black and white image.
• Room Temperature Display: The Parent Unit displays the room temperature detected by the camera, helping you ensure a comfortable environment for your child.
• VOX (Voice Activated Video): When enabled, the video screen on the Parent Unit will automatically turn on when sound is detected from the camera, conserving battery life.

3. Multi-Camera Monitoring

The LookOut Duo system supports up to 4 cameras. You can easily switch between cameras or use the auto-scan feature to cycle through all connected cameras, monitoring multiple rooms or children from a single Parent Unit.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a dry, soft cloth to clean the monitor and camera units. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse units in water.
• Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid extreme temperatures and fully charge the Parent Unit regularly.
• Storage: If storing the unit for an extended period, ensure the battery is fully charged and store in a cool, dry place.
