1. Introduction

2. Safety Information

4. Setup

4.1 Assembling the Stand

  1. Place the monitor screen face down on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches.
  2. Attach the riser to the back of the monitor until it clicks into place.
  3. Attach the base to the riser and secure it, typically with a thumb screw or by clicking it into place.

4.2 Connecting the Monitor

  1. Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI port on your computer's graphics card.
  2. Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI input port on the HP 24x monitor.
  3. Connect the power cable to the monitor's power input, then plug the other end into a grounded electrical outlet.

4.3 Initial Power On

Press the power button located on the monitor to turn it on. The monitor should automatically detect the input signal from your computer. If no image appears, ensure all cables are securely connected and your computer is powered on.

5. Operating the Monitor

5.1 Adjusting Monitor Settings (OSD Menu)

The On-Screen Display (OSD) menu allows you to adjust various monitor settings. Use the buttons on the monitor's bezel (usually on the bottom right or rear) to navigate the OSD menu.

  • Brightness/Contrast: Adjust the overall luminance and contrast of the display.
  • Color Control: Modify color temperature, RGB levels, or select preset color modes.
  • Image Control: Adjust sharpness, aspect ratio, and input selection.

5.2 Setting Refresh Rate and Adaptive Sync

  2. For AMD FreeSync™: Ensure FreeSync is enabled in the monitor's OSD menu. Then, open your AMD Radeon Software and enable FreeSync (or AMD FreeSync Premium) for your display. This technology also works with NVIDIA graphics cards that support Adaptive-Sync.

5.3 Physical Adjustments

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Monitor
