Installation Instructions
- Prepare the Installation Site: Dig a hole in the desired location large enough to accommodate the fixture's body. Ensure proper drainage by adding a layer of gravel or crushed stone at the bottom of the hole. This helps prevent water accumulation around the fixture.
- Install the MR16 Bulb:
- Carefully remove the brass shielded top from the fixture by unscrewing the retaining screws.
- Insert the included 5W MR16 LED bulb into the GU5.3 socket. Ensure it is seated firmly.
- Reattach the brass shielded top, ensuring the rubber gasket is properly seated to create a watertight seal. Tighten the screws securely using the provided Allen wrench.

- Position the Fixture: Place the well light fixture into the prepared hole. The top of the fixture should be flush with or slightly above ground level to prevent debris from covering the light output.
- Wire Connections:
- Route the 4-foot lead wire from the fixture to your low voltage landscape lighting main cable.
- Using appropriate low voltage wire connectors (not included), securely connect the fixture's lead wire to the main landscape lighting cable. Ensure connections are watertight and buried safely. The pressure fitting at the wire exit prevents water intrusion from the bottom.
- Important: A low voltage transformer (not included) is required to power this fixture. Do not connect directly to high voltage power.
- Adjust Light Angle: The MR16 bulb socket is mounted on a gimbal, allowing for adjustment of the lamp angle. Once installed, you can adjust the bulb to direct light as desired.
- Test the System: Once all fixtures are installed and wired, turn on the low voltage transformer to test the lighting system.
Operation
The Lumen Logic 12V Brass In-Ground Well Light operates as part of a low voltage landscape lighting system. Once connected to a compatible 12V AC transformer and powered on, the included 5W 2700K Warm White MR16 LED bulb will illuminate, providing 315 lumens of light.
- Power Control: The light is controlled by the low voltage transformer it is connected to. This typically involves a timer, photocell, or manual switch on the transformer.
- Light Direction: The internal gimbal allows for precise aiming of the light. Adjust the bulb's position to highlight specific features such as pathways, garden elements, shrubs, columns, or trees.

Maintenance

- Cleaning: Periodically clean the brass top and glass lens to remove dirt, leaves, and debris that may obstruct light output. Use a soft cloth and mild soap if necessary. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Inspect Seals: Annually inspect the rubber gasket between the brass top and the fixture body to ensure it remains intact and provides a watertight seal. Replace if damaged.
- Bulb Replacement: While LED bulbs have a long lifespan, if replacement is needed, ensure the power is off at the transformer. Unscrew the brass top, carefully remove the old MR16 bulb, and insert a new 12V MR16 LED bulb. Reassemble, ensuring the watertight seal.
- Wiring Inspection: Check wiring connections periodically for any signs of wear or damage. Ensure all connections remain secure and buried.
