Model: EL-CC-1-001

1. Introduction

The Lascar EL-CC-1-001 is a pre-configured, cost-effective data logger designed for monitoring chilled goods. This device simplifies temperature tracking in sensitive environments by providing clear indications of alarm conditions and easy data retrieval. Each logger is ready for immediate use with pre-set high and low temperature alarms.

2. Setup

The EL-CC-1-001 data loggers are designed for simplicity and come pre-configured for monitoring chilled goods with the following alarm thresholds:

  • High Alarm: 8°C
  • Low Alarm: 2°C

To begin logging, simply press the button located on the device. The logger will immediately start recording temperature data. During the logging session, you can press the button again to check the status LEDs, which will indicate if any alarm conditions have been exceeded.

3. Operation

Once activated by pressing the button, the data logger will continuously record temperature data according to its internal settings. The status LEDs provide real-time feedback:

  • A green LED indicates that the temperature is within the acceptable range.
  • A red LED indicates that the temperature has exceeded either the high or low alarm threshold.

Ensure the logger is placed in the desired monitoring location for the duration of the logging session.

4. Data Retrieval

After the logging session is complete, or when you need to download the recorded data, follow these steps:

  1. Carefully tear open the IP67-rated plastic wallet to expose the built-in USB connector.
  2. Plug the USB connector into an available USB port on your Windows PC.
  3. Download and install the free EasyLog CC software for Windows if you haven't already.
  4. Launch the EasyLog CC software. The software will automatically detect the connected data logger.
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts within the software to download and graph your temperature data. The software allows you to view, analyze, and export the data.
  6. After downloading, you can prepare your logger for its next deployment, as it is designed for reusability.
