Unpacking

- Wipe the exterior of the toaster with a damp cloth to remove any dust.
Initial Setup
- Place the toaster on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials like curtains or walls.
- Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the toaster.
- For the first use, operate the toaster without bread on the highest setting (6) to burn off any manufacturing residues. A slight odor or smoke may be present; this is normal and will dissipate. Allow the toaster to cool completely.

4. Operating Your Toaster
Basic Toasting
- Insert one or two slices of bread into the toasting slots. Ensure the bread is not too thick or too large to fit properly.
- Select your desired browning level using the browning control dial (1-6).
- Press the toast lever down until it locks into place. The toaster will begin toasting.
- Once the toasting cycle is complete, the toast will automatically pop up.

Shade Settings
The browning control dial offers 6 settings to achieve your preferred toast shade:
- Setting 1-2: Light toast, ideal for lightly warming or very soft bread.
- Setting 3-4: Medium toast, suitable for most regular bread types.
- Setting 5-6: Dark toast, for crispier results or thicker slices.

Special Functions
Your toaster includes dedicated buttons for specific toasting needs:
- CANCEL: Press this button at any point during the toasting cycle to immediately stop toasting and eject the bread.
- DEFROST: Use this function for frozen bread. Insert the frozen bread, select your desired shade setting, then press the DEFROST button before pushing down the toast lever. The toaster will automatically adjust the toasting time for frozen items.
- BAGEL: Ideal for bagels and English muffins. Insert the bagel with the cut side facing inwards (towards the center of the toaster). Select your desired shade setting, then press the BAGEL button before pushing down the toast lever. This function toasts the cut side while gently warming the outer side.

- Discard accumulated crumbs.
- Wipe the tray with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
- Slide the crumb tray back into place until it locks securely.

Exterior Cleaning
- Wipe the exterior of the toaster with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads, as they may scratch the surface.
- For stubborn stains, a mild detergent can be used, followed by wiping with a clean, damp cloth.
- Ensure the toaster is completely dry before plugging it back in.
Storage
When not in use, store the toaster in a clean, dry place. You can wrap the power cord around the cord wrap on the bottom of the toaster for neat storage.
6. Troubleshooting Guide
If you encounter any issues with your toaster, please refer to the following table before contacting customer support.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Toaster does not turn on. | Not plugged in; power outlet issue; toast lever not fully depressed. | Ensure toaster is securely plugged into a working outlet. Push the toast lever down firmly until it locks. |
| Bread is not toasting evenly. | Uneven bread thickness; first use burn-off not performed; crumb tray full. | Ensure bread slices are of uniform thickness. Perform initial burn-off cycle. Clean the crumb tray. |
