1. Important Safeguards

Please read all instructions carefully before using this appliance. Keep this manual for future reference.

General Safety Precautions

  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or toaster in water or other liquid.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
  • The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
  • Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.

Toaster Specific Safety

  • Do not attempt to dislodge food when toaster is plugged in.
  • Oversized foods, metal foil packages, or utensils must not be inserted in a toaster as they may create a fire or risk of electric shock.
  • A fire may occur if toasters are covered or touching flammable material, including curtains, draperies, walls, and the like, when in operation.
  • Do not leave toaster unattended when in use.
  • Always remove the crumb tray and clean it regularly. Do not allow crumbs to accumulate in the bottom of the toaster.

  • Toasting Slots: Two extra-wide slots (1.5-inch) to accommodate various bread types.
  • Toast Lever: Lowers bread into the toasting chamber and initiates the toasting cycle.
  • Browning Control Dial: Adjusts the toast shade from 1 (lightest) to 6 (darkest).
  • CANCEL Button: Stops the toasting process at any time.
  • DEFROST Button: Toasts frozen bread.
  • BAGEL Button: Toasts the cut side of bagels while warming the other side.
  • Removable Crumb Tray: Collects crumbs for easy cleaning.

3. Before First Use

Unpacking

  1. Carefully remove the toaster and all packaging materials from the box.
  2. Remove any protective film or stickers from the toaster's surface.
  3. Wipe the exterior of the toaster with a damp cloth to remove any dust.

Initial Setup

  1. Place the toaster on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from flammable materials like curtains or walls.
  2. Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the toaster.
  3. For the first use, operate the toaster without bread on the highest setting (6) to burn off any manufacturing residues. A slight odor or smoke may be present; this is normal and will dissipate. Allow the toaster to cool completely.

4. Operating Your Toaster

Basic Toasting

  1. Insert one or two slices of bread into the toasting slots. Ensure the bread is not too thick or too large to fit properly.
  2. Select your desired browning level using the browning control dial (1-6).
  3. Press the toast lever down until it locks into place. The toaster will begin toasting.
  4. Once the toasting cycle is complete, the toast will automatically pop up.

Shade Settings

The browning control dial offers 6 settings to achieve your preferred toast shade:

  • Setting 1-2: Light toast, ideal for lightly warming or very soft bread.
  • Setting 3-4: Medium toast, suitable for most regular bread types.
  • Setting 5-6: Dark toast, for crispier results or thicker slices.

Special Functions

Your toaster includes dedicated buttons for specific toasting needs:

  • CANCEL: Press this button at any point during the toasting cycle to immediately stop toasting and eject the bread.
  • DEFROST: Use this function for frozen bread. Insert the frozen bread, select your desired shade setting, then press the DEFROST button before pushing down the toast lever. The toaster will automatically adjust the toasting time for frozen items.
  • BAGEL: Ideal for bagels and English muffins. Insert the bagel with the cut side facing inwards (towards the center of the toaster). Select your desired shade setting, then press the BAGEL button before pushing down the toast lever. This function toasts the cut side while gently warming the outer side.

5. Care and Maintenance

Proper care and maintenance will ensure the longevity of your toaster.

Cleaning the Crumb Tray

The removable crumb tray makes cleaning easy and prevents crumb buildup, which can be a fire hazard.

  1. Ensure the toaster is unplugged and completely cool before cleaning.
  2. Pull out the crumb tray located at the bottom of the toaster.
  3. Discard accumulated crumbs.
  4. Wipe the tray with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
  5. Slide the crumb tray back into place until it locks securely.

Exterior Cleaning

  • Wipe the exterior of the toaster with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads, as they may scratch the surface.
  • For stubborn stains, a mild detergent can be used, followed by wiping with a clean, damp cloth.
  • Ensure the toaster is completely dry before plugging it back in.

Storage

When not in use, store the toaster in a clean, dry place. You can wrap the power cord around the cord wrap on the bottom of the toaster for neat storage.

6. Troubleshooting Guide
