4. Setup

  1. Connect the Mouse: Plug the USB connector of the SilverCrest Gaming Mouse into an available USB port on your computer. The operating system will typically detect and install the necessary drivers automatically.

    • Insert the software CD into your computer's CD/DVD drive.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Functions

The SilverCrest SGM 4000 A1 features standard mouse functions along with advanced gaming controls.

  • Left Click: Primary action button.
  • Right Click: Secondary action button, typically for context menus.
  • Scroll Wheel (Central Click): Scroll up/down, and can be pressed for a middle-click function.
  • Forward/Backward Buttons: Located on the side, typically for navigation in web browsers or file explorers. These can be reprogrammed via software.

5.2 DPI Adjustment

The mouse features a high-resolution optical sensor with adjustable DPI (Dots Per Inch) settings, allowing you to change cursor sensitivity on the fly. There are 6 selectable resolutions.

  • DPI+ Button: Increases the DPI setting.
  • DPI- Button: Decreases the DPI setting.

Each DPI setting is indicated by a specific LED color:

  • 500 DPI (Red)
  • 1000 DPI (Green)
  • 1500 DPI (Blue)
  • 2000 DPI (Purple)
  • 3000 DPI (Yellow)
  • 4000 DPI (White)

Adjust the DPI to match your preference for different games or tasks.

5.3 LED Lighting Modes

The mouse features 6 LED colors and 3 light modes for aesthetic customization. These modes can typically be adjusted via the installed software.

  • Wave: Dynamic color cycling effect.
  • Breathable: Colors fade in and out.
  • Static: A single, constant color.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe the surface of the mouse. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Sensor Care: Ensure the optical sensor on the underside of the mouse remains clean and free of debris for accurate tracking.
