4. Installation
Follow these steps carefully to install your in-wall timer:
- Disconnect Power: Locate the circuit breaker or fuse that controls the power to the switch you are replacing. Turn off the power completely. Verify power is off using a voltage tester.
- Remove Existing Switch: Carefully remove the wall plate and unscrew the existing switch from the wall box. Disconnect the wires from the old switch.
- Identify Wires: The Prime EZ-Set timer requires Line (Hot), Load, Neutral, and Ground connections. Identify these wires in your wall box. If you are unsure, consult a qualified electrician.

- Connect Timer Wires: Connect the wires from the wall box to the corresponding wires on the timer using wire nuts:
- Black wire (Timer) to Line (Hot) wire from wall box.
- Red wire (Timer) to Load wire (to the light/appliance) from wall box.

- Green wire (Timer) to Ground wire from wall box.

5.1. Setting Current Time
- Press and hold the CLK button (located above the display) until the hour digit flashes.
- Use the Up (▲) and Down (▼) arrow buttons to adjust the hour. Pay attention to AM/PM indicator.
- Press CLK again to move to the minute digit. Use the arrow buttons to adjust minutes.
- Press CLK one more time to save the current time.
5.2. Programming Custom ON/OFF Schedules
The timer allows for custom daily ON and OFF times.
- Set Custom ON Time:
- Press and hold the Custom ON button until the hour digit flashes.
- Use the Up (▲) and Down (▼) arrow buttons to set the desired ON hour (AM/PM).
- Press Custom ON again to move to the minute digit. Use arrow buttons to set minutes.
- Press Custom ON one more time to save.
- Set Custom OFF Time:
- Press and hold the Custom OFF button until the hour digit flashes.
- Use the Up (▲) and Down (▼) arrow buttons to set the desired OFF hour (AM/PM).
- Press Custom OFF again to move to the minute digit. Use arrow buttons to set minutes.

5.3. Using EZ-SET Presets
The timer includes three pre-programmed schedules for quick setup:
- 5am-8am: Activates the connected device from 5:00 AM to 8:00 AM daily.
- 5pm-12am: Activates the connected device from 5:00 PM to 12:00 AM daily.
- 5pm-8am: Activates the connected device from 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM daily.
To activate a preset, simply press the corresponding button. The timer will automatically follow that schedule.
5.4. ON/OFF / CTD Button
- Manual ON/OFF: Press the ON/OFF button to manually turn the connected device ON or OFF, overriding the current program. The timer will resume its program at the next scheduled event.
- Countdown (CTD): Press and hold the CTD button to activate the countdown function. Use the arrow keys to set a countdown duration (e.g., 1 hour, 30 minutes). The device will turn OFF after the countdown expires.

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your timer:
- Clean the timer's surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Ensure the timer is not exposed to excessive moisture or extreme temperatures.
