1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your BALLARINI Tesoro 800-Watt Countertop Blender. Please read all instructions carefully before first use and retain for future reference.

The Tesoro blender features an 800-watt motor, 10 speed settings, and 3 pre-set programs. It includes durable stainless steel blades designed for various blending tasks, from pureeing soups to crushing ice. A personal blending cup is also provided for convenience.

2. Product Components

Your BALLARINI Tesoro blender comes with the following components:

3. Setup and Assembly

1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for storage or disposal.
2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the carafe, personal cup, lids, and blade assembly in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the blender base with a damp cloth.
3. Placement: Place the blender base on a clean, dry, and stable surface. Ensure the power cord is not obstructed.
4. Blade Assembly:
   • For the 4-cup carafe: Place the blade assembly into the bottom opening of the carafe and twist clockwise until secure. Use the provided blade wrench for a tight seal.
   • For the 16-oz personal cup: Place the blade assembly onto the open end of the personal cup and twist clockwise until secure. Use the provided blade wrench for a tight seal.

5. Attach Container: Place the assembled carafe or personal cup onto the blender base, ensuring it is securely seated. The blender will not operate if the container is not correctly attached.

4. Operating Instructions

The BALLARINI Tesoro blender offers versatile control with 10 speed settings and 3 pre-set programs. The control panel features a central dial and illuminated indicators.

4.1 Control Panel Overview

• Central Dial: Used to select a desired speed from 1 to 10 or a pre-set program.
• Pulse/On/Off Button: Press for momentary blending (Pulse) or to start/stop continuous operation.
• Pre-set Programs:
  • Smoothie Icon: For blending fruits and vegetables into smoothies.
  • Soup Icon: For pureeing ingredients into hot soups (the blender can generate heat through friction).
  • Ice Crush Icon: For crushing ice cubes.

4.2 General Blending Operation

1. Ensure the blender is properly assembled and the container is securely placed on the base.
2. Add ingredients to the blending container. Do not exceed the maximum fill line.
3. Secure the lid onto the container.
4. Plug the blender into a power outlet. The power indicator light will illuminate.
5. Manual Speed Control: Rotate the central dial clockwise to select a desired speed from 1 to 10. Press the Pulse/On/Off button to start continuous blending. Press again to stop.
6. Pre-set Programs: Rotate the central dial to align with the desired program icon (Smoothie, Soup, or Ice Crush). Press the Pulse/On/Off button to start the program. The blender will run through a pre-programmed cycle and stop automatically.
7. Pulse Function: For short bursts of power, press and hold the Pulse/On/Off button. Release to stop.
8. After blending, turn the dial to the "Off" position and unplug the blender.
9. Carefully remove the container from the base and pour out the contents.

5. Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your blender.

1. Always unplug the blender before cleaning.
2. Carafe/Personal Cup and Lids: These components are dishwasher safe. For manual cleaning, wash in warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and dry.
3. Blade Assembly: Detach the blade assembly from the container using the blade wrench. Wash the blades carefully with warm, soapy water. Use a brush to remove any residue. Rinse and dry immediately to prevent corrosion.
4. Blender Base: Wipe the blender base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base in water or any other liquid.
5. Quick Clean: For a quick clean, fill the carafe with warm water and a drop of dish soap. Secure the lid and run the blender on a low speed or pulse setting for a few seconds. Rinse thoroughly.
6. Storage: Store the blender in a clean, dry place. The built-in cord storage helps keep the countertop tidy.
