3. Setup Guide
3.1 Battery Installation
Each SANJOIN Kids Walkie Talkie requires 4 AAA batteries (not included). Follow these steps for proper installation:

3.2 Powering On/Off
To power on the walkie talkie, press and hold the Power Button (

4.2 Channel Selection
The walkie talkies feature 22 main channels and 99 sub-channels (CTCSS codes) for clear communication and to minimize interference. To change channels:
- Press the Menu Button once to enter channel selection mode. The channel number will flash.
- Use the Up/Down Buttons to select your desired main channel (1-22).
- Press the Menu Button again to enter sub-channel selection mode. The sub-channel number will flash.
- Use the Up/Down Buttons to select your desired sub-channel (0-99).
- Press the Talk Button or Menu Button to confirm your selection and exit the menu.
For successful communication, all walkie talkies must be set to the same main channel and sub-channel.
4.3 Talking and Listening
To talk, press and hold the Talk Button and speak clearly into the microphone. Release the button when you are finished speaking to allow others to respond. When the Talk Button is not pressed, the walkie talkie is in listening mode.
