1. Setup and Installation

This section provides instructions for the initial setup of your HP Color LaserJet Pro M454dn printer.

1.1 Unpacking and Placement

Carefully remove the printer from its packaging. Ensure all packing materials and tapes are removed. Place the printer on a stable, flat surface with adequate ventilation. The printer dimensions are 11.6"H x 16.2"W x 18.5"D. It weighs approximately 48.5 pounds.

The box includes the HP Color LaserJet Pro M454dn printer, 4 preinstalled Introductory HP LaserJet Toner cartridges (Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow), a Getting started guide, a Setup poster, and a Regulatory flyer. A USB cable is not included.

1.2 Connecting the Printer

This printer supports Ethernet connectivity. Connect an Ethernet cable from your network router or switch to the Ethernet port on the back of the printer. The printer also features a USB 2.0 port for direct connection to a PC and another USB port for job storage.
