2. Product Overview
The CHWARES Food Scale features a durable stainless steel platform and a clear backlit LCD display. It offers high accuracy for measurements up to 3000 grams with 0.1 gram increments. The scale includes essential functions such as tare and unit conversion, supporting 9 different units of measurement.

3. Setup
- Unpack the Scale: Carefully remove the scale, two plastic trays, and USB charging cable from the packaging.
- Initial Charge: The scale is equipped with a rechargeable battery. Before first use, connect the scale to a USB power source using the provided USB cable. The display will indicate charging status.
- Placement: Place the scale on a hard, flat, and stable surface to ensure accurate readings. Avoid placing it on soft or uneven surfaces, or near strong electromagnetic fields.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1. Power On/Off
- Press the Power button (
) to turn the scale on. The display will show "HELLO" and then "0.0g". - Press and hold the Power button to turn the scale off.
4.2. Unit Conversion
- With the scale on, press the Mode button (
) to cycle through the available units: grams (g), ounces (oz), pounds (lb), taels (tl), carats (ct), pennyweights (dwt), grains (gn), milliliters (ml), and milk milliliters (milk ml). - Select the desired unit for your measurement.

4.3. Tare Function
- Place an empty container on the scale platform. The display will show the weight of the container.
- Press the Tare button (
). The display will reset to "0.0g" (or the selected unit), effectively subtracting the container's weight. - Add the items you wish to weigh into the container. The display will show only the net weight of the items.

4.4. Piece Counting (PCS Function)
- Turn on the scale and ensure it reads "0.0".
- Place a sample quantity of items (e.g., 25, 50, 75, or 100 pieces) on the scale platform.
- Press and hold the PCS button (
) until the display shows "PCS" and a number (e.g., "25"). - Press the Mode button to select the sample quantity that matches the number of items you placed on the scale.
- Press the PCS button again to confirm. The scale is now calibrated for piece counting.
- You can now add more items, and the display will show the total count of pieces.

5. Maintenance and Care
- Cleaning: The stainless steel platform is easy to clean. Wipe it with a tissue or a damp cloth. Do not immerse the scale directly in water or rinse it under a tap, as this can damage the internal components.
- Storage: The compact size (4.92 x 4.13 x 0.71 inches) allows for easy storage. Use the included plastic trays as protective covers when not in use to keep the scale dry and free from dust.
- Battery: Recharge the scale when the battery indicator shows low power. Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures.

6. Troubleshooting
- Inaccurate Readings: Ensure the scale is placed on a stable, flat surface. Avoid vibrations or air currents. If the issue persists, try turning the scale off and on again.
- Display Not Turning On: Check if the battery needs recharging. Connect the scale to a USB power source.
- "Lo" or Low Battery Indicator: This indicates that the battery is low and needs to be recharged.
- "O-Ld" or Overload Indicator: This means the weight on the scale exceeds its maximum capacity (3000g). Remove items immediately to prevent damage.
