1. Introduction

2. Safety Information

4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

The remote control requires batteries for operation. Please follow these steps to install them:

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
  2. Slide the cover downwards or in the direction indicated by an arrow to open it.
  3. Insert the required batteries (typically AAA, refer to the compartment for specific type and polarity) ensuring the correct positive (+) and negative (-) alignment.
  4. Slide the battery compartment cover back into place until it clicks securely.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Functions

  • ON/OFF Button: Press this button to turn the air conditioner unit on or off.
  • TEMP. Buttons (▼ / ▲): Use these buttons to decrease (▼) or increase (▲) the desired temperature setting.

5.2 Advanced Functions (Under Flap)

  • TIMER SET Buttons: Used to set the on/off timer for the unit.
    • TIME (▲ / ▼): Adjusts the time for the timer setting.
    • SET: Confirms the timer setting.
    • CL (Clear): Clears the current timer setting.
  • FAN Button: Cycles through different fan speed settings (e.g., Low, Medium, High, Auto).
  • MODE Button: Selects the operating mode of the air conditioner (e.g., Cool, Heat, Dry, Fan Only, Auto).
  • SWING/FIX Button: Controls the louver swing function. Press to start/stop the swing or to fix the louver at a desired angle.
  • VENT Button: Activates or deactivates the ventilation function.
  • UNIT Button: May be used to switch between different units if multiple are connected or to change display units (e.g., Celsius/Fahrenheit).
  • FILTER RESET Button: Press this button after cleaning or replacing the air filter to reset the filter indicator.
  • TEST Button: For service or diagnostic purposes only. Do not press during normal operation.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues, refer to the following common error messages and their meanings, as indicated on the remote control itself:

MAKE A SERVICE CALL: If either one of ERROR characters such as E, F, H, I, P appears on the display while the unit is operating, it means that some kind of trouble has occurred in the unit. In such a case, press the OPERATION button to stop the unit, then contact your dealer or service center.
