1. Product Overview

The Tangxi PT-210 is a compact and portable thermal receipt printer designed for various applications such as taxi bill printing, management fee receipt printing, restaurant order information printing, and retail point-of-sale systems. It utilizes thermal printing technology, eliminating the need for ink, and offers wireless connectivity via Bluetooth 4.0 for seamless integration with Android and iOS smartphones.

3. Setup Guide

3.1 Charging the Printer

Before initial use, ensure the printer is fully charged. Connect the provided power supply adapter to the printer's DC 9V/2A power jack and plug it into a wall outlet. The charging indicator light will illuminate. Once fully charged, the indicator may change color or turn off, depending on the model.

3.2 Loading Thermal Paper

  1. Gently open the paper compartment cover on the top of the printer.
  2. Insert the thermal paper roll into the compartment, ensuring the printing side of the paper faces the thermal print head. The paper should feed smoothly from the bottom of the roll.
  3. Pull a small length of paper out beyond the print head.
  4. Close the paper compartment cover firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure the paper is taut and properly aligned.

3.3 Software Installation (Optional)

The included optical disk may contain drivers for Windows-based systems or additional utility software. For smartphone control, download the recommended application:

  • Android: Search for "CaysnPrinter" in the Google Play Store.
  • iOS: Search for "Printer - x" in the Apple App Store.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On/Off

  • To power on, press and hold the power button (usually marked with a circle and vertical line) until the indicator light illuminates.
  • To power off, press and hold the power button again until the indicator light turns off.

4.2 Bluetooth Connection

The PT-210 printer supports Bluetooth 4.0 for wireless communication with compatible devices.

  1. Ensure the printer is powered on and within range of your smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled device.
  2. On your device, navigate to the Bluetooth settings and enable Bluetooth.
  3. Search for available devices. The printer should appear as "PT-210" or a similar identifier.
  4. Select the printer to pair. If prompted for a PIN, enter "0000" or "1234" (common default PINs).
  5. Once paired, the printer is ready to receive print commands from your application.

4.3 Printing from Application

After successfully connecting the printer via Bluetooth, open your chosen printing application (e.g., CaysnPrinter for Android, Printer - x for iOS). Within the application, select the PT-210 as your printer and initiate the print command. The printer will automatically process and print the receipt or bill.

5. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your thermal printer.

  • Cleaning the Print Head: Periodically clean the thermal print head with a soft, lint-free cloth lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol. Ensure the printer is powered off and cooled down before cleaning.
  • Cleaning the Exterior: Wipe the printer's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Paper Storage: Store thermal paper in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat to prevent premature fading.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. If storing the printer for an extended period, charge it to about 50% and recharge every few months.

6. Troubleshooting
