Setup Instructions

  1. Prepare the Area: Ensure your skin is clean, dry, and free of oils or lotions. For optimal results, trim hair to approximately 1/4 inch (less than 1 cm) using the provided scissors before waxing.
  2. Place Wax Beans: Pour the desired amount of hard wax beans into the metal pot of the wax warmer.
  3. Power On and Heat: Plug in the wax warmer and turn the power knob to the 'ON' position. Adjust the temperature setting to the maximum (240°F) to quickly melt the wax.
  4. Melt Wax: Allow the wax to heat for approximately 5-10 minutes until it reaches a smooth, honey-like consistency. Stir occasionally with an applicator stick to ensure even melting.

Operating Instructions

  1. Test Temperature: Before applying to skin, test a small amount of wax on your inner wrist to ensure it is not too hot. The wax should be warm and comfortable, not scalding.
  2. Apply Wax: Using a wax applicator stick, apply a thick, even layer of wax to the desired area of your body, following the direction of hair growth. For small, precise areas like eyebrows or upper lip, use the provided small bowls and smaller applicator sticks.
  3. Allow to Cool: Let the wax cool on your skin for 1-2 minutes until it becomes firm but still flexible.
  4. Remove Wax: Firmly press down on the waxed area. Then, quickly and decisively pull the wax strip away from your skin in the opposite direction of hair growth.
  5. Post-Wax Care: After waxing, soothe your skin with an aloe lotion (not included) to reduce redness and irritation.

Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and hygiene of your waxing kit:

  • Cleaning the Pot: After use, turn off and unplug the warmer. Once the wax has cooled and solidified, it can usually be peeled out of the metal pot. For stubborn residue, gently heat the pot for a few minutes to soften the wax, then wipe clean with a paper towel. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the electrical unit in water.
  • Cleaning Accessories: Dispose of used applicator sticks and small bowls. Tweezers and scissors can be cleaned with rubbing alcohol.
  • Storage: Store the wax warmer and unused wax beans in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your KeShi Waxing Kit, refer to the following common solutions:

  • Wax not melting: Ensure the warmer is plugged in and the temperature knob is set correctly. Allow sufficient time (5-10 minutes) for the wax to melt.
  • Wax too sticky or not adhering: The wax may not be hot enough. Increase the temperature slightly and stir. Ensure skin is clean and dry before application.
  • Wax too brittle or breaking: The wax may be too hot or applied too thinly. Reduce the temperature and apply a thicker layer.
  • Skin irritation: Always perform a patch test on a small area of skin 24 hours before full application. Ensure proper pre- and post-wax care. Avoid waxing over irritated, broken, or sunburned skin.
