Electrical Connection

The Manitowoc IDT0500A requires a 115 Volts electrical supply. The wattage is approximately 5.25 kWh. Ensure the electrical circuit meets local codes and the machine's requirements. A dedicated circuit is recommended.

Initial Cleaning

Before first use, clean the interior of the ice machine and storage bin thoroughly with a mild, food-safe sanitizer solution. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.

Starting the Machine

  1. Ensure all connections (water, drain, electrical) are secure.
  2. Turn on the main power switch.
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts on the EasyTouch Display to initiate ice production.

Ice Production

The machine produces dice-shaped ice cubes, measuring approximately 7/8" x 7/8" x 7/8". The programmable ice production feature allows you to set specific production schedules to meet demand and optimize energy usage.

D400 Storage Bin

The D400 Storage Bin is designed to store up to 365 lbs of ice. It features a sanitary scoop and holder, a stay-up insulated ergonomic door, and a Duratech metal finish with a polyurethane Arctic Blue bin liner for optimal insulation and hygiene.

Maintenance

  5. Clean the exterior surfaces with a damp cloth.

Monthly/Quarterly Maintenance

The machine uses R134a refrigerant. Any work involving the refrigerant system must be performed by a certified technician.
