2. Setup
2.1 Unpacking and Inspection
Carefully remove the generator from its packaging. Inspect for any signs of damage during transit. Ensure all included components are present:
- KS 7000E ATS Generator (1 unit)
- User Manual (1 unit)
- Spark Plug Wrench (1 unit)
- Rubber Caps for battery terminals (2 units)
- Anti-vibration Supports (2 units)
- M6 Fixing Screws (4 units)
- Ignition Key (2 units)
2.2 Placement
Place the generator on a firm, level surface. Ensure adequate ventilation and keep it away from flammable materials. Operate the generator outdoors only, in a well-ventilated area, to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning.
2.3 Fuel and Oil
The generator is delivered without engine oil or fuel. Before first use, fill the engine with the recommended oil type (refer to specifications) to the correct level (1.1 L capacity). Fill the fuel tank (25 L capacity) with unleaded gasoline only. Do not overfill.
2.4 Battery Connection (for Electric Start)
Connect the battery terminals, ensuring correct polarity. The positive (+) terminal connects to the positive battery post, and the negative (-) terminal connects to the negative battery post. Secure with the provided rubber caps.

3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Starting the Generator
Electric Start:
- Ensure the fuel valve is open and the engine switch is in the "ON" position.
- Insert the ignition key and turn it to the "START" position. Release once the engine starts.
- Allow the engine to warm up for a few minutes before connecting electrical loads.
Manual Start (Recoil):
- Ensure the fuel valve is open and the engine switch is in the "ON" position.
- Pull the recoil starter handle firmly until the engine starts.
- Allow the engine to warm up for a few minutes before connecting electrical loads.
3.2 Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) Function
The integrated ATS unit automatically activates the generator during a power outage and shuts it down when main power is restored. This feature ensures continuous power supply without manual intervention. Refer to the ATS connection diagram in the full manual for detailed installation instructions.
3.3 Monitoring Operation
The control panel features an LED display that shows working hours, frequency, and voltage. Regularly monitor these parameters to ensure stable operation and to schedule maintenance as needed.

3.4 Connecting Electrical Loads
Connect electrical devices to the appropriate outlets (1 x 16 A/230 V, 1 x 32 A/230 V, 1 x 12 V DC). Do not exceed the generator's rated power output (5.0 kW nominal, 5.5 kW maximum). The automatic voltage regulator (AVR) helps maintain stable voltage output.
3.5 Shutting Down the Generator
Before shutting down, disconnect all electrical loads. Turn the engine switch to the "OFF" position and close the fuel valve.
4. Maintenance
Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and reliable operation of your generator. The electronic indicator assists in timely maintenance scheduling.
4.1 Engine Oil
Check the engine oil level before each use. Change the oil after the first 20 hours of operation, and then every 100 hours or annually, whichever comes first. Use recommended oil type (e.g., SAE 10W-30 or 10W-40).
4.2 Air Filter
Inspect the air filter every 50 hours of operation or more frequently in dusty conditions. Clean or replace if dirty to ensure proper engine performance.
4.3 Spark Plug
Inspect the spark plug every 100 hours of operation. Clean or replace if fouled or worn. Use the provided spark plug wrench for removal and installation.
4.4 Fuel System
Periodically check fuel lines and connections for leaks or damage. Drain the fuel tank and carburetor if storing the generator for an extended period (more than 30 days).
4.5 General Cleaning and Storage
Keep the generator clean and free of debris. Store in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the fuel valve is closed and the engine switch is off during storage.
