ClearView 9H Anti-Glare LCD Protective Film

For Alpine PKG-M700SC Rear Vision

1. Product Overview

The ClearView 9H Anti-Glare LCD Protective Film is designed to safeguard the screen of your Alpine PKG-M700SC Rear Vision system. This film provides robust protection against scratches and reduces glare from external light sources, enhancing screen visibility.

Key Features:

  • High Hardness (9H): Offers superior scratch resistance, protecting the LCD screen from daily wear and tear.
  • Anti-Glare: Minimizes reflections from sunlight and fluorescent lights, improving screen clarity.
  • Bubble-Less Application: Utilizes a special silicone adhesive that allows air to escape naturally, preventing bubble formation during installation.
  • Flexible and Durable: Maintains thinness and flexibility while achieving high hardness, resisting easy breakage and scattering.

2. Installation Guide

Follow these steps carefully for optimal application of the protective film. Ensure you are in a dust-free environment.

  1. Clean the Screen: Thoroughly clean the Alpine PKG-M700SC screen using a microfiber cloth to remove all dust, fingerprints, and smudges. Use a screen cleaning solution if necessary, ensuring the screen is completely dry before proceeding.
  2. Peel Off Protective Layer (Part 1): Carefully peel back a small portion of the protective layer labeled "Part 1" from one corner of the film. Avoid touching the adhesive side.
  3. Align the Film: Align the exposed adhesive edge of the film with the edge of your device's screen. Ensure precise alignment with all cutouts (if any) and edges.
  4. Apply the Film: Slowly and steadily lower the rest of the film onto the screen, gradually peeling off the remaining "Part 1" protective layer. Use a squeegee or a soft card wrapped in a cloth to gently press down the film, working from the aligned edge outwards to prevent bubbles.
  5. Remove Bubbles: If any small bubbles remain, gently push them towards the nearest edge using the squeegee or cloth-wrapped card. The special silicone adhesive is designed to minimize bubbles.
  6. Remove Protective Layer (Part 2): Once the film is fully applied and free of bubbles, carefully peel off the top protective layer labeled "Part 2" (if present).

Important: If you encounter significant difficulties or fail during the application process, please refer to the "Warranty and Support" section for information on the free replacement service.

3. Operating Instructions

Once correctly installed, the ClearView protective film operates passively. It provides continuous protection to your Alpine PKG-M700SC screen without requiring any user interaction. The anti-glare properties will reduce reflections, and the 9H hardness will guard against scratches.

4. Maintenance

To maintain the clarity and effectiveness of your ClearView protective film, follow these simple cleaning guidelines:

  • Gentle Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth to gently wipe the surface of the film.
  • Stubborn Smudges: For more persistent smudges or fingerprints, lightly dampen the microfiber cloth with water or a screen-safe cleaning solution. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive materials, or excessive moisture.
  • Avoid Sharp Objects: While the film is 9H hard, avoid intentionally scratching it with sharp objects to preserve its integrity.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues during or after the film application, consider the following:

  • Bubbles: Small bubbles often disappear within 24-48 hours as the adhesive settles. For larger bubbles, try gently lifting the nearest edge of the film and reapplying it slowly, pushing the bubble out with a squeegee.
  • Dust Particles: If dust is trapped under the film, it may cause persistent bubbles. Carefully lift the nearest edge of the film and use a dust-removal sticker or tape to lift the dust particle. Reapply the film.
  • Misalignment: If the film is significantly misaligned, it can be carefully peeled off and reapplied. The special silicone adhesive allows for reapplication.

For application failures that cannot be resolved, please refer to the "Warranty and Support" section.
