Setup
Unpacking and Initial Placement
Carefully remove the printer from its packaging. Ensure all packing materials and protective tapes are removed. Place the printer on a stable, level surface with adequate ventilation. Ensure easy access to power outlets and network connections.
Connecting the Printer
- Power Connection: Connect the power cord to the printer and then to a grounded electrical outlet.
- Network Connection (Ethernet): For wired network connectivity, connect an Ethernet cable from your network router or switch to the Ethernet port on the back of the printer.

Loading Paper

Open the front access door to the toner cartridge compartment. Remove the new HP 89a/89x toner cartridge from its packaging and gently shake it to distribute the toner. Insert the cartridge into the printer until it clicks into place. Close the access door.
Important: This printer is designed to work only with cartridges containing original HP chips or circuitry. Non-HP chips or circuitry may prevent the cartridge from functioning.

Printing Documents
- Ensure the printer is connected to your network or computer and powered on.
- From your computer, open the document you wish to print.
- Select Print from the application's menu.
- Choose the HP LaserJet Enterprise MFP M528dn from the list of available printers.
