Maintenance

Regular maintenance will ensure the longevity and efficient operation of your ViaAqua VA180 pump.

  • Disconnect Power: Always unplug the pump before performing any maintenance.
  • Cleaning: Periodically remove the pump from the water and disassemble the impeller housing (if removable) to clean any accumulated debris, algae, or mineral deposits. A small brush can be used to clean the impeller and pump interior.
  • Impeller Inspection: Check the impeller for any signs of wear or damage. A worn impeller can reduce pump performance.
