Chromadent Dental Dentamerica LITEX 686 LED Whitening & Curing System

User Instruction Manual

1. Product Overview

The Litex 686 LED Bleaching And Curing Light is an advanced LED-based system designed for both composite curing and professional tooth whitening procedures. Its streamlined design allows for direct mounting to a dental unit, optimizing space within the operatory. Featuring a user-friendly control panel, the system offers easy access to its curing and whitening functions. It supports a fully customizable single-visit bleaching procedure when used with the Everbrite Tooth Whitening Kit and LED Whitening Arch.

The system incorporates a Soft-Start Ramping function to effectively prevent shrinkage of composite materials during polymerization. With high LED light intensity, it can cure a depth of 4mm in just 3 seconds. Designed for longevity and cost-effectiveness, the LED has an impressive life expectancy of 50,000 hours, eliminating the need for frequent bulb replacements. The LED Whitening Arch is specifically designed to whiten the entire anterior area of the patient’s mouth. Both the LED Probe and LED Whitening Arch are magnetically held and can be easily rotated 360° for optimal positioning. Operation is further simplified by a one-touch magnetic handpiece trigger ring. An optional bleaching stand with a 3-section bleaching arm and rotatable trays is available for enhanced versatility.

  • Disinfection: Follow standard dental practice guidelines for disinfection of all components that come into contact with patients or their environment. Ensure the unit is unplugged before cleaning.
  • Storage: Store the unit in a clean, dry environment away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure handpieces are properly secured or placed in their designated holders to prevent damage.
  • Cable Inspection: Regularly inspect all cables for any signs of wear, fraying, or damage. Do not use the unit if cables are damaged.
  • Optical Surface Care: Keep the LED light emission surfaces of the probe and arch clean and free of debris or cured material, as this can affect light intensity and performance. Use a soft, lint-free cloth.
