5. Setup and Installation
Before installation, ensure the main water supply is turned off. This faucet is designed for single-hole deck mounting.
- Prepare the Mounting Surface: Ensure the sink or countertop surface is clean, dry, and flat around the faucet hole. The mounting hole diameter should be approximately 34mm.
- Insert the Faucet: Place the faucet body into the single mounting hole on the sink or countertop.
- Secure the Faucet: From underneath the sink, use the provided quick mount system to firmly secure the faucet. Ensure the faucet is properly aligned before tightening.
- Connect Water Supply Lines: Connect the flexible connection hoses from the faucet to your hot and cold water supply lines. The hoses are typically G 3/8. Ensure connections are hand-tightened, then use a wrench for a final quarter turn, being careful not to overtighten.
- Install Drain Set: Install the push-open drain set (1 1/4 inch) into the sink drain hole according to its separate instructions. Ensure all seals are correctly seated to prevent leaks.
- Check for Leaks: Once all connections are made, slowly turn on the main water supply. Check all connections for any signs of leakage. If leaks occur, tighten the connections slightly.

7. Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your GROHE Plus faucet.
- Cleaning the Surface: Clean the GROHE StarLight chrome surface with a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaning agent. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry with a soft cloth to prevent water spots. Avoid cleaners containing alcohol, hydrochloric acid, formic acid, acetic acid, or phosphoric acid.
- Cleaning the Mousseur: The SpeedClean Mousseur is designed for easy maintenance. Limescale deposits can be removed by simply wiping the silicone nozzles with your finger. For more stubborn deposits, unscrew the mousseur and soak it in a mild descaling solution.
- Checking Connections: Periodically inspect all water connections for any signs of leaks or corrosion. Tighten connections if necessary, but do not overtighten.
