1. Introduction

The RIG 800LX Wireless Gaming Headset is designed to provide an immersive audio experience for gaming on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows 10 devices. Featuring Dolby Atmos for Headphones, this headset offers 24 hours of wireless operation, lightweight comfort, and noise-blocking earcups for focused gameplay.

This manual provides detailed instructions for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting your RIG 800LX headset.

3. Setup

3.1 Initial Charge

Before first use, fully charge your headset. Connect the supplied charging cable to the headset's micro-USB port and to a powered USB port (e.g., on your console or a wall adapter). The LED indicator on the headset will show charging status.

3.2 Connecting to Xbox One / Xbox Series X|S

  1. Plug the wireless adapter into an available USB port on your Xbox console.
  2. Power on your Xbox console.
  3. Power on your RIG 800LX headset by sliding the power switch.
  4. Press and hold the pairing button on the wireless adapter until the LED flashes rapidly.
  5. Press and hold the pairing button on the headset (usually located near the power switch) until the LED flashes rapidly.
  6. Once paired, the LEDs on both the adapter and headset will turn solid.
  7. On your Xbox, navigate to Settings > Display & Sound > Kinect & Devices > Device Options > Assign to assign the headset to your profile.

3.3 Connecting to Windows 10

  1. Plug the wireless adapter into an available USB port on your Windows 10 PC.
  2. Power on your PC.
  3. Power on your RIG 800LX headset.
  4. Press and hold the pairing button on the wireless adapter until the LED flashes rapidly.
  5. Press and hold the pairing button on the headset until the LED flashes rapidly.
  6. Once paired, the LEDs on both the adapter and headset will turn solid.
  7. Ensure the RIG 800LX is selected as the default audio input and output device in your Windows sound settings.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Headset Controls

The RIG 800LX features intuitive controls located on the left earcup:

  • Power Switch: Slides to turn the headset on or off. An LED indicator shows power and connection status.
  • Master Volume Dial: Adjusts the overall audio volume.
  • Game/Chat Balance Dial: Allows you to adjust the balance between game audio and chat audio. Turn towards 'Game' to prioritize game sound, or towards 'Chat' to prioritize voice communication.
  • Microphone: The boom microphone can be flipped up to automatically mute. Flip down to unmute.

4.2 Wearing the Headset

The RIG 800LX is designed for lightweight comfort. Adjust the headband to fit comfortably over your head. The earcups are designed to block external noise, enhancing your immersion.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the headset. Do not use liquid cleaners or solvents.
  • Storage: Store the headset in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the headset frequently. Charge regularly.

6. Troubleshooting

6.1 No Audio / Disconnection

  • Check Power: Ensure both the headset and wireless adapter are powered on.
  • Re-pair: Follow the pairing instructions in Section 3.2/3.3 to re-establish connection.
  • Volume Levels: Verify that the master volume and game/chat balance dials are adjusted correctly.
  • USB Port: Try plugging the wireless adapter into a different USB port on your console/PC.
  • Console/PC Settings: Confirm the headset is selected as the default audio device in your system settings.

6.2 Microphone Not Working

  • Mic Mute: Ensure the microphone boom is flipped down to unmute.
  • System Settings: Check your console/PC audio settings to ensure the microphone is enabled and set as the input device.
  • Game/Chat Balance: Adjust the game/chat balance dial to ensure chat volume is not too low.
