1. Product Overview

The JIMU Robot Mythical Series: Firebot Kit is an app-enabled building and coding STEM robot designed for users aged 8 years and up. 2. Safety Information

This product contains small parts and is not suitable for children under 3 years of age. Adult supervision is recommended during assembly and operation, especially for younger users. Please ensure all parts are securely connected to prevent detachment during play.

3. Package Contents

The Firebot Kit includes 606 snap-together parts and connectors necessary for building the robot. It also contains the required motors, sensors, and a rechargeable battery. A USB cable for charging and a quick start guide are provided. The free JIMU app, which contains detailed 3D, 360° building instructions, is required for assembly and operation.

4. Setup and Assembly

  1. Download the JIMU App: Before beginning assembly, download the free JIMU app from your device's app store. This app is essential for accessing the step-by-step, 3D, 360° building instructions. Ensure your device meets the app's compatibility requirements.
  2. Prepare Components: Unpack all 606 pieces and organize them. The app's instructions will guide you through identifying and using each part.
  3. Follow 3D Instructions: Use the JIMU app to follow the interactive 3D building instructions. These instructions allow you to rotate and zoom in on each step, providing a clear view of how parts connect.
  4. Connect Electronics: As instructed by the app, connect the motors, sensors, and the main control box. Ensure all connections are secure.
  5. Install Battery: Insert the included rechargeable battery into its designated compartment.

5. Operating the Firebot

  1. Power On: Once assembled, turn on your Firebot using the power switch on the main control box.
  2. Connect to App: Open the JIMU app on your smart device and follow the instructions to connect to your Firebot via Bluetooth.
  3. Control Modes: The app offers various control modes, including direct remote control for movement and actions.
  4. Programming with Blockly: Utilize the integrated Blockly coding platform within the app to create custom sequences of movements, sounds, and light effects. For example, program the LED light in Firebot's snout to glow red or blue, or activate magical actions with its movable wings via the touch sensor on its chest.

6. Maintenance

  • Charging: The Firebot is powered by a rechargeable lithium battery. Use the provided USB cable to charge the robot when the battery level is low. Refer to the app for battery status.
  • Cleaning: Wipe the robot's plastic surfaces with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: Store the Firebot in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Part Integrity: Periodically check all snap-together parts for secure connections. Reassemble any loose components to ensure optimal performance and safety.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Robot Not Responding: Ensure the robot is powered on and fully charged. Verify that the JIMU app is open and successfully connected to the robot via Bluetooth.
  • Assembly Difficulties: The JIMU app provides 3D, 360° instructions. If a step is unclear, rotate the view or zoom in for better clarity. Double-check that all parts are oriented correctly and securely snapped into place.
  • App Issues: Ensure your JIMU app is updated to the latest version. Check your device's operating system for compatibility with the app. If issues persist, try restarting the app or your device.
