3.3 Ducting Connections
Connect the appropriate ductwork to the four ports on top of the unit. Ensure all connections are airtight using suitable clamps and sealant. Note: The FLEX100H utilizes oval duct connections. Verify the availability of compatible oval ducting or appropriate adapters before installation. Reshaping round ducting to fit may be challenging and could compromise performance or sealing.

4. Operation
The Fantech FLEX100H operates automatically to exchange indoor and outdoor air, recovering heat in the process. - Continuous Operation: Provides constant ventilation at a set speed.
- Intermittent Operation: Cycles the unit on and off based on a timer or sensor input.
- High Speed Boost: Temporarily increases ventilation for rapid air exchange, often activated by a bathroom switch or humidity sensor.
5. Maintenance

5.1 Filter Cleaning/Replacement
The FLEX100H is equipped with filters that should be cleaned or replaced periodically, typically every 3-6 months, depending on air quality and usage. Dirty filters reduce airflow and efficiency.
- Disconnect power to the unit at the circuit breaker.
- Open the access panel by releasing the latches/hinges (refer to Figure 2).
- Carefully slide out the filters.
- Clean filters with a vacuum cleaner or wash them with warm, soapy water. Ensure filters are completely dry before reinstallation. Replace filters if they are damaged or cannot be cleaned effectively.
- Reinsert the clean/new filters and close the access panel, ensuring latches are securely fastened.
- Restore power to the unit.
