4. Installation and Wiring

4.1 Mounting

The JVR800-2 relay is designed for easy installation on a standard 35 mm DIN rail. Ensure the mounting location is free from excessive vibration, moisture, and extreme temperatures.

4.2 Wiring Connections

Connect the 3-phase power supply to the L1, L2, and L3 terminals. The relay does not require a separate auxiliary power supply as it draws power from the monitored circuit. Connect the control circuit to the output contacts (18(14), 15(11), 16(12) for C/O and 25(21), 26(22) for NC) as required by your application.

4.3 Initial Power-Up

After wiring, apply power to the L1, L2, L3 terminals. The LCD will illuminate, displaying the current voltage and operational status. Observe the display to confirm correct phase sequence and voltage levels.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 LCD Display

The LCD provides real-time information:

  • RUN: Indicates normal operation.
  • COUNT: Displays the internal counter value.
  • Voltage Reading: Shows the measured line-to-line voltage (e.g., L3-L1).
  • PHS.FAILS: Indicates a phase failure or sequence error.

5.2 Button Functions

  • RST (Red Button): Used for manual reset of the relay after a fault condition. Also used to clear counter values.
  • + (Plus Button): Used to increase parameter values during setting adjustments.
  • - (Minus Button): Used to decrease parameter values during setting adjustments.
  • MOD (Green Button): Used to enter the setting menu, navigate through parameters, and confirm selections.

5.3 Parameter Settings

To adjust protection parameters (e.g., overvoltage threshold, delay times):

  1. Press and hold the MOD button to enter the setting menu.
  2. Use the + and - buttons to navigate between parameters (e.g., overvoltage, undervoltage, delay times).
  3. Press MOD again to select a parameter for adjustment.
  4. Use + and - to change the value.
  5. Press MOD to confirm the new value and move to the next parameter or exit the setting menu.

Refer to the 'Technical Specifications' section for the adjustable ranges of each parameter.

5.4 Automatic Reset Mode

The JVR800-2 supports an automatic reset mode. If enabled, the relay will attempt to reset itself after a fault condition clears and a specified auto-reset delay time has passed. This feature can be enabled or disabled in the settings menu, and the auto-reset time can be configured between 0.1 and 999 seconds.

6. Maintenance

The YWBL-WH JVR800-2 is designed for reliable operation with minimal maintenance. Periodically inspect the device and its connections for any signs of damage, loose wiring, or excessive dust accumulation. Ensure proper ventilation around the unit. Disconnect power before performing any inspection or cleaning.

7. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
