4. Setup
4.1 Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the radio.
- Slide the cover open in the direction indicated by the arrow.
- Insert two (2) AA 1.5V batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+ and -) as marked inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

4.2 Powering On/Off
Press the POWER/SLEEP button located on the side or top of the radio to turn it on or off.
4.3 External Power Supply (Optional)
The radio can also be powered by an external DC 5V power source. Connect the provided USB cable to the DC 5V input port on the radio and to a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a power bank.

5.1 Band Selection
Press the BANDS button repeatedly to cycle through the available frequency bands: FM, AM, SW1, SW2, SW3, SW4, SW5, SW6, SW7.
5.2 Tuning to Stations
Manual Tuning:
- Extend the telescopic antenna for optimal reception, especially for FM and Shortwave bands.
- Use the TUN+ and TUN- buttons to manually adjust the frequency in small increments.
- Alternatively, use the tuning wheel on the side of the radio for continuous frequency adjustment.
Automatic Scan:
- Press and hold the M+ or M- button (or a dedicated scan button if available) to initiate an automatic scan for available stations. The radio will stop at the next strong signal.
