This manual provides essential information for the installation and maintenance of The ROP Shop Carburetor Repair Kit. This kit is designed to restore proper function to compatible marine outboard carburetors by replacing worn or damaged internal components.

Compatibility

This carburetor repair kit is compatible with a wide range of Johnson and Evinrude outboard motors, as well as certain OMC models. Please verify your engine's specifications against the list below to ensure proper fitment.

Note: This kit does NOT include the float. One rebuild kit is required per two cylinders. For example, a 6-cylinder engine will require 3 rebuild kits.

1. Preparation: Ensure the engine is cool and disconnected from the battery. Work in a well-ventilated area.
2. Carburetor Removal: Carefully disconnect fuel lines, throttle linkages, and mounting bolts. Remove the carburetor from the engine.

4. Cleaning: Thoroughly clean all carburetor components using a suitable carburetor cleaner. Ensure all passages are clear and free of debris.

6. Reassembly: Reassemble the carburetor in reverse order of disassembly. Torque all fasteners to the manufacturer's specifications.
7. Installation: Reinstall the carburetor onto the engine, reconnecting all lines and linkages.
