4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Battery

1. Insert one of the provided rechargeable batteries into the camcorder's battery compartment.
2. Connect the camcorder to the power adapter using the USB cable, then plug the adapter into a wall outlet.
3. The charging indicator light will illuminate. Once fully charged, the light may change color or turn off.
4. It is recommended to fully charge both batteries before first use.

4.2 Inserting an SD Card

The camcorder supports SD/TF cards from 4GB to 32GB (not included). Please format the SD card before first use.

1. Open the SD card slot cover on the camcorder.
2. Insert the SD card with the metal contacts facing the front of the camcorder until it clicks into place.
3. Close the SD card slot cover.

4.3 Attaching the Microphone

1. Locate the hot shoe mount on top of the camcorder.
2. Slide the microphone onto the hot shoe mount until it is securely in place.
3. Connect the microphone to the camcorder's microphone input port using the provided microphone connection cable.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

• To power on, open the LCD screen. The camcorder will automatically turn on.
• To power off, close the LCD screen. The camcorder will automatically turn off.
• Alternatively, press and hold the POWER button on the camcorder or remote control.

5.2 Recording Video

1. Ensure an SD card is inserted and the battery is charged.
2. Open the LCD screen to power on the camcorder.
3. Press the MODE button to select video recording mode (indicated by a video camera icon).
4. Press the RECORD button (usually a red circle) to start recording. Press again to stop.
5. Use the W/T buttons for 16X digital zoom during recording.
6. To use the Pause Function, press the OK button during recording to pause, and press it again to resume recording in the same file.

5.3 Taking Photos

1. Press the MODE button to select photo mode (indicated by a camera icon).
2. Frame your shot using the LCD screen.
3. Press the PHOTO button (usually a camera icon) to capture a still image.

5.4 Using the Remote Control

5.5 Webcam Functionality

1. Connect the camcorder to your computer using the USB cable.
2. Select the 'PC Camera' or 'Webcam' option on the camcorder's screen (if prompted).
3. Your computer should recognize the camcorder as a webcam. You can then select it in your preferred video conferencing or streaming software.

5.6 Connecting to TV/PC

• To TV: Use the provided AV cable to connect the camcorder to your TV's AV input ports. Select the correct AV input on your TV to view recorded content.
• To PC: Use the provided USB cable to connect the camcorder to your PC. The camcorder will appear as a removable disk, allowing you to transfer files.
