Important Safety Information

Always follow basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons.

  • This appliance is designed for 110V power networks ONLY. Ensure your power supply matches this requirement.
  • The stirring cup is made of Tritan plastic, which is BPA, Phthalate, and Lead-Free. It is ETL Safety Certified (UL982 and UL1026 Standards for Safety).
  • Do not immerse the main unit in water or other liquids. Clean only with a damp cloth.
  • Always unplug the appliance from the power outlet when not in use, before assembling or disassembling parts, and before cleaning.
  • Keep hands and utensils out of the stirring cup while blending to prevent injury.
  • Exercise extreme caution when handling hot steam and hot food. Use the provided baby bottle tongs for safety.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.

Setup

Before first use, wash all removable parts (stirring cup, baskets, blade, covers, tongs) with warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and dry. The stirring cup is dishwasher safe.

  1. Place the main processor unit on a stable, flat, and dry surface.
  2. Ensure the water tank is clean and fill it with distilled or purified water up to the MAX line. The water tank has a wide opening for easy cleaning.
  3. Assemble the blending blade into the stirring cup by rotating it to lock in place.
  4. Place the stirring cup onto the main unit, aligning it correctly and rotating until it clicks securely into position.
  5. If using the steaming function, place the desired steaming basket(s) into the stirring cup. For the smallest basket, ensure the 'Magic Board' is placed inside and rotated to lock.
  6. Place the heat insulation cover on top of the assembled pyramid of baskets.
  7. Plug the appliance into a 110V power outlet. The touch control panel will illuminate.

Operating Instructions

Overview of Functions (8-in-1)

Your Homia Dansa Baby Food Maker offers eight essential functions for preparing baby food:

  • Steam: Gently cooks food with steam, preserving nutrients.
  • Sterilize: Sterilizes bottles and accessories.
  • Cook: Prepares various ingredients.
  • Juice: Extracts juice from fruits.
  • Warm: Warms milk or purees.
  • Defrost: Safely thaws frozen food.
  • Puree: Blends cooked food to a smooth consistency.
  • Chop: Chops ingredients to desired texture.

Steaming Food (Pyramid Design)

The unique 3-tier pyramid design allows you to steam different foods simultaneously without mixing flavors. This is ideal for preparing a variety of ingredients for your baby's meals.

  1. Prepare your ingredients by washing and cutting them into appropriate sizes.
  2. Place different ingredients into the large (25 oz), medium (12 oz), and small (5 oz) steaming baskets.
  3. Stack the baskets inside the stirring cup, ensuring they are properly seated.
  4. Select the 'Steam' function on the touch control panel. Adjust the steaming time using the '+' and '-' buttons. Refer to the recipe book or general guidelines for steaming times based on food type.
  5. Press the 'Start/Pause' button to begin steaming. The appliance will automatically shut off when the cycle is complete.

Blending/Chopping

After steaming, you can blend or chop the food directly in the stirring cup to achieve the desired consistency.

  1. Carefully remove the steaming baskets and heat insulation cover.
  2. Transfer the steamed food into the stirring cup, ensuring the blending blade is installed.
  3. Select the 'Puree' (for smooth consistency) or 'Chop' (for coarser texture) function on the touch control panel.
  4. Press and hold the 'Start/Pause' button to blend/chop. Release the button to stop. Pulse for better control over consistency.
  5. Add a small amount of breast milk, formula, or water if a thinner consistency is desired.

Using the Control Panel

The intuitive Smart Touch LED Panel allows for easy operation:

  • Power Button: Turns the unit on/off.
  • Function Icons: Touch to select desired function (Steam, Sterilize, Cook, Juice, Warm, Defrost, Puree, Chop).
  • '+' and '-' Buttons: Adjust time for steaming, cooking, warming, or defrosting cycles.
  • Start/Pause Button: Initiates or pauses the selected function. For blending/chopping, press and hold.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and hygienic operation of your baby food maker.

  • Stirring Cup and Accessories: The stirring cup, baskets, blade, and covers are dishwasher safe. For manual cleaning, wash with warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
  • Water Tank: The Teflon-coated water tank has a wide opening for easy access. To prevent mineral buildup, regularly clean the water tank by adding a mixture of water and white vinegar (1:1 ratio) and running a steaming cycle. Rinse thoroughly afterward.
  • Main Unit: Wipe the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse it in water.
  • Hidden Drawer: The splash cover is conveniently stored in a hidden drawer at the base of the unit. Ensure this area is kept clean and dry.
  • Always ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling or storing the appliance.
