1. Safety Information

Please read all instructions carefully before installation and use. Retain this manual for future reference.

• Electrical Safety: Always ensure the power supply to the fixture is turned off at the circuit breaker before beginning any installation or maintenance. Improper wiring can lead to electric shock or fire.
• Qualified Electrician: If you are unsure about any part of the installation process, consult a qualified electrician.
• Ballast Bypass: These LED tubes require a ballast bypass. The existing fluorescent ballast must be removed or bypassed. Do not install these LED tubes with an active ballast.
• Fixture Modification: This fixture has been modified and no longer operates fluorescent lamps. Ballasts have been removed and there is line voltage being supplied to the sockets. Do not install fluorescent lamps. Do not use with standard dimmer.
• Indoor Use Only: This product is designed for indoor use only.
• Handling: Handle LED tubes with care to avoid breakage.

4. Setup and Installation

These Barrina LED tube lights are designed for easy installation, but require bypassing or removing the existing fluorescent ballast. Always ensure power is OFF before starting.

4.1 Ballast Bypass Wiring (Dual-Ended Power Supply)

This installation method involves removing the existing ballast and directly wiring the LED tubes to the main power supply. This is a Type B installation (Hot at one end, Neutral at the other).

1. Turn Off Power: Locate the circuit breaker controlling the light fixture and turn off the power. Verify with a voltage tester that the power is off.
2. Access Wiring: Open the light fixture to access the ballast and wiring.
3. Remove Ballast: Carefully cut off all wires connected to the ballast. Remove the ballast from the fixture.
4. Prepare Wires: Strip the ends of the wires that were connected to the ballast and tombstone sockets.
5. Connect Live Wire: Connect the live (hot) wire from the power supply to the wires leading to one end of the LED tube sockets. Secure with wire nuts and electrical tape.
6. Connect Neutral Wire: Connect the neutral wire from the power supply to the wires leading to the other end of the LED tube sockets. Secure with wire nuts and electrical tape.
7. Ground Wire: Ensure the ground wire (typically green or bare copper) is securely connected to the fixture's metal housing.
8. Secure Wiring: Neatly tuck all wiring back into the fixture and close the cover.
9. Insert LED Tubes: Carefully insert the Barrina LED tubes into the fixture sockets.
10. Apply Warning Label: Affix the provided warning sticker to the fixture, indicating that it has been modified for LED tubes and no longer uses a ballast or fluorescent lamps.
11. Restore Power: Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker.

5. Operating Instructions

Once properly installed, operating the Barrina LED tube lights is straightforward:

• Power On/Off: Use the wall switch or fixture pull chain (if applicable) to turn the lights on or off.
• Instant On: These LED tubes provide instant full brightness without flickering or warm-up time.

6. Maintenance

Barrina LED tube lights require minimal maintenance:

• Cleaning: Ensure the power is off before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface of the tubes. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Inspection: Periodically inspect the tubes and wiring for any signs of damage or loose connections. If any issues are found, turn off the power immediately and consult a qualified electrician.
• No Bulb Replacement: LED tubes have a long lifespan and do not require frequent bulb replacement like traditional fluorescent tubes.

7. Troubleshooting
