1. Introduction

The Westone W60 Six-Driver True-Fit Earphones are engineered to deliver exceptional audio fidelity and comfort. Featuring six balanced-armature drivers and a 3-way passive crossover, these earphones provide a balanced, powerful, and articulate soundstage. Designed for extended wear, the W60 utilizes Westone's True-Fit Technology for a compact, low-profile, and comfortable fit.

3. Setup

3.1 Attaching the Cables

The Westone W60 earphones feature MMCX Audio connectors, allowing for interchangeable cables. Both the High-Definition Silver Audio Cable and the Bluetooth Cable connect in the same manner.

1. Identify the left (L) and right (R) earpieces and cable connectors. The earpieces are marked on their inner surface.
2. Align the MMCX connector on the cable with the receptacle on the earpiece. Ensure the cable is oriented correctly (the cable should exit downwards when worn).
3. Gently push the connector into the receptacle until you feel a secure click. Do not force the connection.
4. To detach, firmly grasp the cable connector (not the cable itself) and pull straight away from the earpiece. Avoid twisting.

3.2 Selecting and Installing Ear Tips

Proper ear tip selection is crucial for optimal sound quality and comfort. The W60 includes various sizes of both STAR Silicone and True-Fit Foam tips. Experiment with different sizes and types to find the best seal and fit for your ears.

• STAR Silicone Tips: Offer a comfortable fit and good isolation.
• True-Fit Foam Tips: Provide superior noise isolation and a custom-like fit. Compress the foam tip before inserting it into your ear, then hold it in place for a few seconds while it expands to create a seal.

To install an ear tip, gently push it onto the nozzle of the earpiece until it is securely seated.

3.3 Wearing the Earphones

The W60 earphones are designed to be worn with the cable routed over the top of your ear for a secure and comfortable fit, especially during movement.

1. Insert the earpiece into your ear canal.
2. Guide the cable up and over the top of your ear, allowing it to rest comfortably behind your ear.
3. Adjust the cable cinch (if present on your cable) to secure the cable behind your head or under your chin.

3.4 Bluetooth Cable Pairing (Optional)

If using the Westone Bluetooth Cable, follow these steps to pair it with your device:

1. Ensure the Bluetooth cable is charged.
2. Press and hold the power button on the Bluetooth cable's remote until the indicator light flashes, indicating pairing mode.
3. On your audio device (smartphone, tablet, computer), navigate to the Bluetooth settings.
4. Select "Westone Bluetooth" or a similar name from the list of available devices.
5. Once connected, the indicator light on the Bluetooth cable will change to a steady blue or turn off, depending on the model.

The Bluetooth cable has a range of approximately 10 meters (32 feet) and features an IPX-4 water and dust resistant rating.

4. Operating the Earphones

4.1 Wired Connection

When using the High-Definition Silver MMCX Audio Cable, simply connect the 3.5mm jack to your audio source (e.g., smartphone, digital audio player, amplifier). The earphones will function passively, drawing power directly from your device's audio output.

4.2 Bluetooth Connection

Once paired, the Westone Bluetooth Cable allows for wireless audio playback and media control.

• Power On/Off: Press and hold the power button.
• Play/Pause: Press the center button on the remote once.
• Next Track: Press the "+" button.
• Previous Track: Press the "-" button.
• Volume Up: Press and hold the "+" button.
• Volume Down: Press and hold the "-" button.
• Battery Life: The Bluetooth cable provides approximately 8 hours of battery life on a full charge.

5. Maintenance and Care

Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your Westone W60 earphones.

• Cleaning: Regularly clean the ear tips and the earpiece nozzles using the provided cleaning tool to remove earwax and debris. Wipe the earpieces and cables with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
• Storage: When not in use, store your earphones and cables in the deluxe zippered carrying case to protect them from dust, moisture, and physical damage.
• Moisture Exposure: While the Bluetooth cable has an IPX-4 water and dust resistant rating, the earphones themselves are not fully waterproof. Avoid prolonged exposure to excessive moisture. If they become wet, dry them thoroughly before storage or use.
• Cable Care: Avoid sharp bends or excessive pulling on the cables, especially near the connectors.
