1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Tonton Portable LCD Security Camera System. This wireless system features a 7-inch IPS touchscreen monitor, a 3MP spotlight IP camera with PIR sensor, and supports 2-way audio and various recording modes. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the product to ensure proper functionality and safety.

3. Setup

3.1 Initial Monitor Setup

  1. Install SD Card: First, insert the included 32GB SD card into the monitor's SD card slot. The monitor supports up to 128GB SD cards.
  2. Charge Batteries: Install the two rechargeable batteries into the monitor. Connect the 5V power adapter to the monitor to charge the batteries.
  3. Power On: Press the power button to turn on the monitor.

3.2 Camera Connection

  1. Power Camera: Connect the 12V power adapter to the 3MP camera. The camera does not have an internal battery and requires continuous power.
  2. Auto-Pairing: The camera and monitor are pre-paired at the factory. Once both are powered on, the camera feed should automatically appear on the monitor.
  3. Manual Pairing (if needed): If the camera does not connect automatically, navigate to 'Match Code' in the monitor's system settings and follow the on-screen instructions to manually pair the camera.

3.3 Network Connection (for Remote Access)

To enable remote viewing via the mobile app, connect the monitor to your home network:

  1. Access System Setup: On the monitor, tap 'System Setup' > 'Wireless Internet'.
  2. Enable WLAN: Ensure the WLAN toggle is switched on.
  3. Select Network: Choose your WiFi network from the 'Hotspot list'.
  4. Enter Password: Input your WiFi password and tap 'Connect'.

3.4 App Download & Connection

For remote viewing and control, download the 'EseeCloud' app:

  1. Download App: Search for 'EseeCloud' on the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android), or scan the QR code on the monitor's 'System Info' screen.
  2. Register/Login: Create an account or log in to the app.
  3. Add Device: In the app, select 'Scan' and scan the Cloud ID QR code displayed on the monitor (System Info > Cloud ID).
  4. Enter Password: Input the system password (default is blank, or the one you set).

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Live View

Once the camera is connected, the live feed will display on the 7-inch monitor. You can tap on the screen to access controls such as volume, zoom, and playback options.

4.2 Recording Modes

The system supports various recording modes. Access 'Record Setup' from the main menu to configure:

  • Motion Detection Recording: Records only when motion is detected.
  • Schedule Recording: Records continuously or at specified times.
  • Overwrite Function: When the SD card is full, new video will automatically overwrite the oldest video.

4.3 Two-Way Audio

The camera features a built-in microphone and speaker, allowing for two-way communication. Tap the microphone icon on the live view screen to speak through the camera, and listen through the monitor's speaker.

4.4 Smart PIR Activated Floodlight & Night Vision

The camera is equipped with a smart PIR sensor and floodlights. When human motion is detected, the floodlights can automatically activate, providing color night vision and deterring intruders. You can configure night vision modes (color, black & white, or smart mode) via the settings.

4.5 AI Human Detection & Alerts

The built-in PIR sensor and AI human detection technology minimize false alarms by distinguishing human movement from other objects. When motion is detected, you will receive mobile notifications and email alerts.

4.6 Alexa Integration

The system is compatible with Amazon Alexa. You can use voice commands to view camera feeds on compatible Alexa-enabled devices.

5. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the monitor screen and camera lens. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Firmware Updates: Periodically check for firmware updates through the system settings or mobile app to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Battery Care: For the monitor's rechargeable batteries, avoid extreme temperatures and fully charge them before extended periods of non-use.
  • Weather Protection: The camera has an IP66 weatherproof metal housing, suitable for outdoor use in various weather conditions (operating temperature: -10°C to 60°C / 14°F to 140°F).

6. Troubleshooting

  • No Camera Feed: Ensure both the camera and monitor are powered on. If the camera was not pre-paired, use the 'Match Code' function in the monitor's system settings.
  • No Network Connection: Verify your WiFi password and ensure the monitor is within range of your router. Check 'Network Setup' in 'System Setup'.
  • False Motion Alerts: Adjust the motion detection area and sensitivity settings in 'Alarm Setup' to reduce unwanted alerts.
  • Poor Night Vision: Ensure the camera lens is clean and free from obstructions. Check the night vision mode settings.
  • Monitor Password Reset: If you forget the monitor password, you can reset it via 'System Manage' > 'Change Password'. The original password is blank.
