Setup Instructions
This section guides you through connecting your TV xStream SD Card Reader to your device.
- Identify Your Device's Port: Determine if your device (e.g., Firestick, Android phone) uses a Micro USB or USB-C port for power/data. The card reader itself has a standard USB-A connector, a Micro USB connector, and a USB-C connector.
- Connect the OTG Cable (if needed): If your device requires a Micro USB input for power and/or USB adapter, use the included Micro OTG Cable. Plug the Micro USB end of the OTG cable into your device.
- Connect the Card Reader:
- For devices with a standard USB-A port, plug the card reader directly into the USB-A port.
- For devices with a Micro USB port, connect the card reader's USB-A end to the female USB-A port of the OTG cable. Then, connect the Micro USB end of the OTG cable to your device.
- For devices with a USB-C port, plug the card reader's USB-C end directly into the device's USB-C port.
- Insert Memory Card: Insert your SDXC/SDHC/SD/MMC/RS-MMC/Micro SD/TF/Micro SDXC/Micro SDHC/UHS-I memory card into the appropriate slot on the card reader. (SD Card not included).
- Power Connection: No additional power supply is typically needed for the card reader itself. However, for Firesticks or media devices requiring power, ensure the OTG cable is correctly connected to both the device and its power source.

Operating Instructions
The TV xStream SD Card Reader offers plug-and-play functionality, requiring no drivers for most operating systems.
Storage Expansion
- For Firesticks (especially 4K MAX models), the card reader allows you to expand storage for apps and media. Note that other Firestick models may have limitations on full storage utilization.
- Insert a compatible Micro SD card into the card reader.
- Connect the card reader to your Firestick as described in the Setup section.
- Your Firestick's operating system should recognize the external storage. Follow on-screen prompts to format or configure the storage if necessary.
File Transfer
- Connect the card reader with an inserted memory card to any mobile device that supports USB On-The-Go (OTG) or a computer.
- Access the files on the memory card through your device's file manager.
- You can transfer photos, videos, and other media between your memory card and the connected device.

Maintenance
- Keep the card reader clean and free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
- Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures or moisture.
- Store the card reader in a safe place when not in use to prevent physical damage.
- Always safely eject memory cards and the card reader from your devices to prevent data corruption.
Troubleshooting
- Device Not Recognized: Ensure all connections are secure. Try plugging the card reader into a different USB port or device to rule out port issues. Verify your device supports USB OTG if applicable.
- Memory Card Not Detected: Ensure the memory card is fully inserted into the correct slot. Try a different memory card to check if the card itself is faulty.
- Firestick Storage Limitations: For optimal performance and full storage use, a 4K MAX Firestick is recommended. Other models may have inherent limitations.
- Insufficient Power Supply (for Firestick): If your Firestick experiences reboots or instability, ensure it is receiving adequate power. The OTG cable helps manage power, but some setups might require a dedicated power source for the Firestick.
- Slow Transfer Speeds: Ensure you are using a USB 2.0 compatible port and memory card. Transfer speeds can also be affected by the host device's capabilities.
