  • Product Benefits: Removes Impurities, Ease of Installation/Replacement.
  • Material: Carbon Block.

Installation

This replacement filter cartridge is designed for easy installation into compatible Hansing under-sink water filtration systems. Always ensure the water supply is turned off before beginning installation.

  1. Turn off Water Supply: Locate the cold water supply line to your sink and turn off the shut-off valve. Open the faucet to relieve any remaining pressure in the line.
  2. Remove Old Filter: Depending on your specific Hansing system, twist or unclip the old filter cartridge from its housing. Be prepared for a small amount of water to spill.
  3. Prepare New Filter: Remove the new HSG-01RP filter cartridge from its packaging. Ensure all protective caps are removed from the inlet and outlet ports.
  4. Install New Filter: Align the new filter cartridge with the filter head. Ensure the "Flow Direction" arrow on the filter label points in the correct direction (typically upwards, towards the faucet). Insert and twist or clip the filter into place until it is securely seated.
  5. Flush the System: Slowly turn on the cold water supply. Check for any leaks around the filter connections. Once water flows from the faucet, let it run for 5-10 minutes to flush out any carbon fines and air from the system. The water may appear cloudy initially; this is normal.
  6. Check for Leaks: After flushing, carefully inspect all connections for any signs of leaks.

If you encounter any difficulties, refer to the specific installation guide for your Hansing under-sink filtration system or contact customer support.

Operating Instructions

Once installed, the Hansing HSG-01RP filter operates automatically as water flows through your under-sink filtration system. No special operation is required beyond normal faucet use.

  • Ensure the filter is correctly installed and water supply is fully open.
  • Use the filtered water for drinking, cooking, and other household needs.
  • Monitor water flow rate; a significant decrease may indicate the filter is nearing the end of its life.

Maintenance

Regular replacement of your Hansing HSG-01RP filter cartridge is crucial to maintain optimal water quality and system performance.

  • Filter Replacement: The processing capacity of the filter is 4000-13000 gallons. The actual capacity depends on your local water quality and the use of a pre-filter. It is recommended to replace the filter cartridge every 6-12 months, or sooner if you notice a significant drop in water flow or a change in water taste/odor.
  • Cleaning: The filter cartridge itself does not require cleaning. It is a disposable component.
  • Storage: Store new, unused filter cartridges in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
