1. Important Safety Information

  • Hot Surface Warning: The ceramic glass surface and cooking zones will remain hot after use. Allow sufficient time for the cooktop to cool before cleaning or touching. The Residual Heat Indicator (H) will illuminate when a zone is hot.

3. Setup and Installation

The Noxton Electric Cooktop is designed for built-in installation and requires a hard-wire connection. For safety and proper function, installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Installation Requirements:

  • Power Supply: 220-240V AC, 50/60Hz, 6000W.
  • Cut-out Dimensions: Ensure your countertop opening matches the required dimensions for a secure fit. The recommended cut-out dimensions are approximately 22.44 inches (570mm) in width and 19.5 inches (495mm) in depth.
  • Clearance: Maintain adequate clearance around the cooktop for ventilation and heat dissipation.
  • Wiring: The cooktop comes with a 1.2m 5-core power cable for hard-wire connection. Follow the wiring diagram provided below and ensure all connections are secure and insulated.

Installation Steps (Professional Installation Recommended):

  1. Prepare the countertop opening according to the specified cut-out dimensions.
  2. Carefully lower the cooktop into the opening, ensuring it sits flush with the countertop.
  3. Connect the cooktop's power cable to your household electrical supply, following the provided wiring diagram and local electrical codes. Ensure the power supply is OFF before making any connections.
  4. Secure the cooktop in place using the provided mounting clips or brackets, if applicable.
  5. Once installed, turn on the main power supply and test the cooktop's functionality.

4. Operating Instructions

The Noxton Electric Cooktop features a user-friendly touch control panel.

Control Panel Layout:

The touch control panel is located at the front center of the cooktop. It includes power buttons for each zone, power level selectors, a timer button, and a child lock button.

Basic Operation:

  1. Turning On: Press the main power button. The display will show '0' for each cooking zone.
  2. Selecting a Cooking Zone: Press the corresponding zone selection button for the burner you wish to use.
  3. Adjusting Power Level: Use the '+' or '-' buttons to set the desired power level from 1 to 9. Level 9 is the highest heat setting.
  4. Turning Off a Cooking Zone: Select the active zone and press the '-' button repeatedly until the display shows '0', or press the zone's power button directly.
  5. Turning Off the Cooktop: Press the main power button to turn off all active zones.

Special Functions:

  • Child Lock: To activate, press and hold the child lock button (key icon) for a few seconds until the indicator light illuminates. This will disable all controls. To deactivate, press and hold the child lock button again until the light turns off.
  • Timer: Press the timer button, then use the '+' or '-' buttons to set the desired cooking duration. The timer will count down and automatically turn off the selected cooking zone when finished.
  • Residual Heat Indicator ('H'): After a cooking zone is turned off, an 'H' will appear in the display if the surface is still hot. Do not touch the surface until the 'H' disappears.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Noxton Electric Cooktop.

General Cleaning:

  • Before Cleaning: Always ensure the cooktop is turned off and has completely cooled down. Disconnect power at the circuit breaker if possible for added safety.

6. Troubleshooting
