2. Safety Information

3. Installation Guide

3.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove all packaging materials. Ensure no parts are missing or damaged. Keep packaging materials out of reach of children.

3.2 Removing Transport Bolts

Before operating the washing machine, it is crucial to remove the transport bolts located at the rear of the appliance. These bolts secure the drum during transit and must be removed to prevent damage during operation.

  1. Locate the transport bolts on the back panel of the washing machine. There are typically 3-4 bolts.
  2. Using an appropriate wrench, loosen and remove all transport bolts.
  3. Insert the plastic caps (provided in the accessory bag) into the holes left by the bolts.

3.3 Location and Leveling

Place the washing machine on a firm, level floor. Adjust the adjustable feet to ensure the appliance is perfectly level and stable. Use a spirit level to verify.

3.4 Water and Electrical Connection

  • Connect the water inlet hose to a cold water tap. Ensure connections are tight to prevent leaks.
  • Position the drain hose into a standpipe or over the edge of a sink, ensuring it is securely fixed to prevent displacement during draining.
  • Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. The appliance operates on 220-230V AC, 50Hz.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Control Panel Overview

The control panel features a central knob for program selection, buttons for various functions, and a digital display for information.

4.2 Loading Laundry

Open the door and load laundry into the drum. Do not overload the machine; ensure there is enough space for clothes to tumble freely. Close the door firmly.

4.3 Detergent Dispensing (Autodose System)

The Autodose 9425 features an automatic dosing system. Fill the detergent and fabric softener compartments in the dispenser drawer. The machine will automatically dispense the correct amount based on the selected program and load size. You can also manually add detergent for specific washes if preferred.

4.4 Selecting and Starting a Program

  1. Turn the program selection knob to choose your desired washing program.
  2. Adjust additional settings such as temperature and spin speed using the corresponding buttons on the control panel.
  3. Press the "Start/Pause" button to begin the wash cycle.

5. Washing Programs

The Whirlpool Autodose 9425 offers a variety of programs tailored for different fabric types and washing needs:

  • Cotton: For normally soiled cotton garments.
  • Eco Cotton: Energy-efficient program for cottons.
  • Synthetics: For synthetic fabrics like polyester, polyamide, or blends.
  • Delicate / Silk: For delicate items and silk garments.
  • Wool: Specifically designed for wool garments, ensuring gentle care.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures the efficient operation and extends the lifespan of your washing machine.

6.1 Cleaning the Detergent Dispenser

Periodically remove the detergent dispenser drawer and rinse it under running water to remove any detergent or softener residue. Clean the housing of the drawer with a brush.

6.2 Cleaning the Drain Pump Filter

The drain pump filter should be cleaned regularly to prevent blockages and ensure proper drainage. This is typically located at the bottom front of the machine.

  1. Place a shallow container under the filter cover to catch any residual water.
  2. Open the filter cover (usually a small door at the bottom front).
  3. Slowly unscrew the filter counter-clockwise until water starts to drain. Allow all water to drain.
  4. Once drained, fully remove the filter and clean any lint, debris, or foreign objects.
  5. Rinse the filter under running water and reinsert it, screwing it clockwise until tight. Close the cover.

6.3 Cleaning the Drum and Exterior

  • Run a maintenance wash (e.g., a hot cycle with no laundry and a descaling agent) periodically to clean the drum.
  • Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  • Clean the door seal regularly to prevent mold buildup.

7. Troubleshooting
