Setup
Before first use, ensure the aspirator is assembled correctly and batteries are installed.
- Install Batteries: Open the battery compartment (usually at the bottom of the unit) and insert the 2 AA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment securely.
- Attach Tip: Place the silicone tip securely onto the aspirator. Ensure the tip is completely over the opening of the collection cup. All parts should fit tightly into each other to ensure proper suction.

Operating Instructions
Follow these steps for effective nasal aspiration:
- Power On: To activate the suction, press and hold down the power button. The device will begin to operate.
- Activate Light (Optional): If desired, you may press the light button to turn on the integrated light feature for better visibility.
- Position the Child: Hold the baby or child in an upright to semi-upright position, ensuring they are securely held in your arms.
- Insert Tip: Gently insert the silicone tip into the baby’s nostril. Be careful not to insert the tip too far or press it against the wall of the nostril.
- Suction: Allow the aspirator to suction the mucus. Repeat the process on the other nostril and as needed until the nasal passages are clear.
- Pre-treatment for Thick Mucus: If the mucus is thick or crusted, it is recommended to use NeilMed Naspira Drops Sterile Saline Ampoules or NeilMed PediaMist Nasal Saline Spray as a pretreatment. This helps to loosen thick mucus before suctioning.

Care and Maintenance
Proper cleaning after each use is essential for hygiene and device longevity.
- Disassemble: Separate the silicone tip and the collection cup from the main base unit by pulling them straight out.
- Clean Tip and Cup: Wash the silicone tip and collection cup with dishwashing liquid detergent. Rinse thoroughly with clean water. Shake off any excess water. These parts can also be placed on the top rack of a dishwasher.
- Dry: Air dry all disassembled parts thoroughly before reassembling the unit.
- Clean Main Body: DO NOT submerge the main body of the aspirator in water or place it in the dishwasher. Clean the body with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.
- Storage: Store the aspirator in a cool, dry place.
