Setup
1. Placement
Place the player on a stable, level surface with adequate ventilation. Avoid placing it near heat sources or in direct sunlight.

2. Connecting to a TV
Use a high-speed HDMI cable (not included) to connect the player to your TV. For optimal 4K UHD and HDR performance, ensure your TV's HDMI input supports HDCP 2.2.
- Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI OUT (VIDEO/AUDIO) port on the back of the player.
- Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to an HDMI input on your TV.

3. Connecting to the Internet
The player supports both wired (Ethernet) and wireless (Wi-Fi) connections for streaming services and firmware updates.
Wired Connection:
- Connect an Ethernet cable from your router to the LAN (100) port on the back of the player.
Wireless Connection:
- Turn on the player and navigate to the Network Settings menu to configure your Wi-Fi connection.
Operating Instructions
1. Basic Playback
- Insert a Blu-Ray disc, DVD, or CD into the disc tray.
- The player will automatically load the disc. If it does not, select the disc icon from the home menu.
- Use the remote control to navigate menus and start playback.
2. 4K UHD and HDR Playback
The UBP-X800M2 supports 4K UHD Blu-ray discs with HDR10 and Dolby Vision. Ensure your TV is compatible and configured for these formats.
- For Dolby Vision content, you may need to manually enable Dolby Vision in the player's settings menu. Refer to your TV's manual for specific HDR/Dolby Vision input settings.
3. Streaming Services
Access various streaming applications such as Netflix, YouTube, and Amazon Prime Video via the player's smart functionality.
- Ensure the player is connected to the internet.
- Navigate to the "Network" or "Home" menu to find available streaming apps.
4. USB Playback
The player supports playback of media files from a USB storage device.
- Insert a USB device into the USB port on the front of the player.
- Select the USB icon from the home menu to browse and play content.

Maintenance
Cleaning the Unit:
- Wipe the exterior of the player with a soft, dry cloth.
- Do not use abrasive pads, scouring powders, or solvents such as alcohol or benzene.
Disc Handling:
- Handle discs by their edges to avoid fingerprints and scratches.
- Clean discs with a soft, lint-free cloth, wiping from the center outwards.
