2. Safety Information

  • Use only the provided AC adapter with the charger.
  • Do not attempt to charge batteries other than those specified as compatible.
  • Do not disassemble, modify, or repair the charger or adapter.

6. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your CD-15A charger:

  1. Place the charger cradle on a stable, flat surface away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
  2. Connect the small plug of the AC power adapter into the DC input jack located on the back of the charger cradle.
  3. Plug the AC power adapter into a standard wall outlet (AC 100-240V).
  4. The charger is now ready for use.

7. Operating Instructions

To charge a compatible battery or radio:

  1. Ensure the charger is properly set up and connected to power as described in Section 6.
  2. Carefully insert the compatible battery pack into the charging slot of the cradle. You may also insert the radio with the battery attached, ensuring it seats correctly.
  3. Observe the charging indicator light on the front of the cradle:
    • Orange/Red Light: Indicates that the battery is currently charging.
    • Green Light: Indicates that the battery is fully charged.
    • No Light (when battery inserted): May indicate an issue with battery contact or incompatibility.
  4. Once the indicator light turns green, the battery is fully charged and ready for use. Remove the battery or radio from the charger.

8. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your charger:

  • Storage: When not in use, store the charger in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

9. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your CD-15A charger, refer to the following table:
