Understanding Your Readings
- SpO2 (%): This indicates your blood oxygen saturation level. It measures the percentage of hemoglobin in your arterial blood that is saturated with oxygen.
- PRbpm: This is your Pulse Rate, measured in beats per minute.
- Plethysmography Waveform: This graph visually represents the blood flow through your finger. A consistent, smooth waveform indicates a good signal and reliable reading.

Maintenance and Storage
- Cleaning: Clean the surface of the oximeter with a soft cloth dampened with medical alcohol (75% ethanol). Do not immerse the device in water or other cleaning solutions.
- Battery Replacement: When the low battery indicator appears on the display, replace the batteries promptly.
- Storage: Store the oximeter in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and moisture. If not used for extended periods, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
- Avoid Impact: Handle the device with care to prevent damage from drops or impacts.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No display after power on | Batteries are dead or incorrectly installed. | Replace batteries or re-install them correctly, observing polarity. |
| Inaccurate readings or "Finger Out" message | Finger not inserted properly, finger too cold, excessive movement, nail polish, or weak signal. | Reinsert finger correctly, warm the finger, remain still, remove nail polish, or try a different finger. |
| Display is dim | Brightness setting is low. | Press and hold the power button to adjust brightness. |
