- Door Thickness: Must be between 35mm (1.38 inches) and 60mm (2.36 inches).
- Drilling: One non-standard 10mm hole is required to secure the lock in place.
- Door Type: Suitable for standard wood doors.

4.2 Deadbolt Compatibility
If your existing deadbolt is positioned above the door handle, the Colosus NDL302 must be installed on the bottom. This is because the NDL302 unit is too long to be installed below a deadbolt in that configuration.

4.3 Handle Reversibility
The handle is reversible, making it suitable for both left-handed and right-handed door configurations. Refer to the detailed installation guide for instructions on how to adjust the handle direction if needed.

4.4 Power Source
The lock requires 4 AA alkaline batteries (not included). Avoid using used or discount/off-brand batteries for optimal performance and longevity.
5. Operating Instructions
The Colosus NDL302 offers four convenient ways to unlock your door.
5.1 Unlocking with PIN Code
- Activate the keypad by touching it. The numbers will illuminate.
- Enter your programmed PIN code.
- Press the '#' key to confirm.
- If the code is correct, the lock will disengage. If incorrect, the keypad will flash red.
Peep-Proof Function: To enhance security, you can enter a series of random numbers before or after your actual PIN code. The lock will still recognize the correct sequence within the longer input.

The Open Mode allows the door to remain temporarily unlocked, which is useful for periods of high traffic. Refer to the full programming guide for instructions on how to activate and deactivate Open Mode.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Battery Replacement
When the battery is running low, the indicator light on the lock will flash to alert you. Replace all 4 AA alkaline batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation. Refer to the detailed guide for instructions on accessing the battery compartment.
6.2 Cleaning
Clean the lock's exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.
7. Troubleshooting
- Incorrect Code Entry: After 3 consecutive incorrect entries, the door lock will temporarily disable itself and trigger a beep alarm for 5 minutes. Wait for the lockout period to end before attempting to enter the code again.
- Lock Not Responding: Check the battery level. If the low battery indicator is flashing, replace the batteries.
- Difficulty with Programming: Refer to the detailed programming instructions provided with your lock. Ensure you are following the sequence correctly for adding/removing codes, fobs, and remotes.
- Physical Key Not Working: Ensure the key is fully inserted into the hidden keyhole and turned correctly. If the lock mechanism feels stiff, it may require professional inspection.
