4.2 Deadbolt Compatibility

If your existing deadbolt is positioned above the door handle, the Colosus NDL302 must be installed on the bottom. This is because the NDL302 unit is too long to be installed below a deadbolt in that configuration.

5. Operating Instructions

The Colosus NDL302 offers four convenient ways to unlock your door.

5.1 Unlocking with PIN Code

  1. Activate the keypad by touching it. The numbers will illuminate.
  2. Enter your programmed PIN code.
  3. Press the '#' key to confirm.
  4. If the code is correct, the lock will disengage. If incorrect, the keypad will flash red.

Peep-Proof Function: To enhance security, you can enter a series of random numbers before or after your actual PIN code. The lock will still recognize the correct sequence within the longer input.

  • Incorrect Code Entry: After 3 consecutive incorrect entries, the door lock will temporarily disable itself and trigger a beep alarm for 5 minutes. Wait for the lockout period to end before attempting to enter the code again.
  • Lock Not Responding: Check the battery level. If the low battery indicator is flashing, replace the batteries.
  • Difficulty with Programming: Refer to the detailed programming instructions provided with your lock. Ensure you are following the sequence correctly for adding/removing codes, fobs, and remotes.
