  • Electrical Safety: Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Do not modify the plug in any way. Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces.
  • Personal Safety: Always wear eye protection, dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection. Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool.

Circular Saw Specific Safety Warnings

  • Blade Guard: Ensure the guard is in place and functioning correctly before each use. Never jam or tie the guard open.
  • Kickback: Be aware of kickback, which is a sudden reaction to a pinched, bound, or misaligned saw blade. Always hold the saw firmly with both hands.
  • Blade Selection: Use only blades that are correctly sized and rated for the saw's speed.
  • Cutting Material: Ensure the workpiece is properly supported and clamped. Avoid cutting small pieces that cannot be securely held.

4. Setup

Blade Installation

  1. Ensure the saw is unplugged from the power source.
  2. Press and hold the blade locking button to secure the spindle.
  3. Using the appropriate wrench, loosen the arbor nut by turning it counter-clockwise.
  4. Remove the outer flange and the old blade (if applicable).
  5. Place the new 7 1/4" (184 mm) carbide blade onto the arbor, ensuring the teeth are pointing in the direction of rotation indicated by the arrow on the saw.
  6. Replace the outer flange and tighten the arbor nut clockwise while holding the blade locking button. Do not overtighten.

Adjusting Cutting Depth

The cutting depth can be adjusted to suit the thickness of your workpiece.

  1. Loosen the depth adjustment lever.
  2. Raise or lower the base plate to achieve the desired cutting depth. For optimal performance and safety, the blade should extend approximately 1/8 inch (3 mm) below the workpiece.
  3. Tighten the depth adjustment lever securely.

Adjusting Bevel Angle

The saw can make bevel cuts from 0° to 45°.

  1. Loosen the bevel adjustment lever.
  2. Tilt the base plate to the desired angle (0° for straight cuts, up to 45° for bevel cuts).
  3. Tighten the bevel adjustment lever securely.

5. Operating Instructions

Always ensure the work area is clear and the workpiece is securely clamped before operating the saw.

Starting and Stopping the Saw

  • To Start: Plug the saw into a 120V ~ 60Hz power outlet. Press the safety lock button (if present) and then squeeze the trigger switch.
  • To Stop: Release the trigger switch. The blade will stop rotating.

Making Cuts

Always allow the blade to reach full speed (4500 RPM) before beginning a cut.

  • Straight Cuts: Align the saw's base plate with your cutting line. Apply steady, forward pressure, allowing the saw to cut at its own pace. Do not force the saw.
  • Bevel Cuts: Set the desired bevel angle. Maintain a firm grip and guide the saw along the line, being mindful of the altered cutting path due to the angle.
  • Cutting Wood: The ADIR 810 is ideal for cutting various types of wood. Ensure the wood is free of nails or other obstructions that could damage the blade.

  • Cleaning: After each use, unplug the saw and use a brush or compressed air to remove sawdust and debris from the motor vents, blade guard, and base plate. Do not use solvents.
  • Blade Inspection: Regularly inspect the blade for sharpness, cracks, or missing teeth. Replace dull or damaged blades immediately.
  • Motor: The motor is mounted on ball bearings, which contributes to its durability and extended service life. No user maintenance is required for the motor's internal components.
  • Power Cord: Check the power cord for any cuts, fraying, or damage. If damaged, have it replaced by a qualified service technician.
  • Lubrication: This tool is designed for maintenance-free operation. No additional lubrication is required.
