The Valex EASY 43FG Brush Cutter requires assembly before first use. Follow these steps carefully:
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from both packages. Lay them out on a clean, flat surface.
- Attach Engine to Shaft: Connect the engine unit (Package 1) to the shaft assembly (Package 2). Ensure the connection is secure and all fasteners are tightened according to the specific instructions provided in the separate assembly guide (if applicable).
- Install Handle and Controls: Mount the control handle onto the shaft. Position it for comfortable operation and tighten securely.
- Attach Guard and Cutting Head: Securely attach the safety guard and the tap-and-go dual line spool cutting head to the end of the shaft. Ensure the guard is properly aligned to deflect debris away from the operator.

5. Operation
Before starting, ensure you have read and understood all safety warnings. Always wear appropriate PPE.
- Fuel Mixture: The Valex EASY 43FG uses a 2-stroke engine. Prepare a fuel mixture of gasoline and 2-stroke engine oil at a 4% ratio (25:1 gasoline to oil). Use high-quality unleaded gasoline and synthetic 2-stroke oil.
- Filling the Tank: Fill the fuel tank carefully, avoiding spills. Ensure the fuel cap is securely tightened.
- Starting the Engine: Follow the specific starting procedure outlined in your engine's manual, typically involving priming, setting the choke, and pulling the starter cord.
- Operating Technique: Hold the brush cutter firmly with both hands. Use a sweeping motion to cut grass and weeds. Maintain a steady pace and avoid forcing the cutting head into dense vegetation. The cutting width is 46 cm.
- Stopping the Engine: To stop the engine, engage the kill switch located on the control handle.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your brush cutter.
- Cleaning: After each use, clean the brush cutter, especially the cutting head and air filter, to remove grass, dirt, and debris.
- Air Filter: Check and clean the air filter regularly. A clogged air filter can reduce engine performance and increase fuel consumption.
- Spark Plug: Inspect the spark plug periodically. Clean or replace it as needed to ensure reliable starting and efficient combustion.
- Fuel System: For long-term storage, drain the fuel tank and run the engine until it stops to clear the carburetor of fuel. This prevents fuel degradation issues.
- Cutting Line: Replace the cutting line in the tap-and-go spool as it wears down. Use only 2.4mm diameter line.
- General Inspection: Regularly check all nuts, bolts, and screws for tightness. Lubricate moving parts as recommended in the full service manual.
