2. Setup Guide

2.1 Package Contents

2.2 Installation Steps

  1. Choose a Location: Select a position on your windshield that does not obstruct your view of the road. Typically, this is behind the rearview mirror.
  2. Clean the Windshield: Ensure the chosen area on the windshield is clean and dry for optimal suction cup adhesion.
  3. Attach the Mount: Secure the suction cup mount to the cleaned area of the windshield. Press firmly and engage the locking mechanism if present.
  4. Attach the Dash Camera: Slide the Philips ADR900 Dash Camera onto the mount until it clicks into place.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Power On/Off

  • Automatic Power On: The dash camera will automatically power on and begin recording when your vehicle's ignition is turned on and power is supplied to the 12V outlet.
  • Automatic Power Off: The dash camera will automatically power off a few seconds after your vehicle's ignition is turned off and power supply is cut.

3.2 Recording Modes

  • Continuous Recording: The camera records continuously in a loop. When the memory card is full, the oldest unprotected files will be overwritten.
  • Emergency Recording (G-Sensor): In the event of a sudden impact or collision, the built-in G-sensor will detect the event and automatically lock the current video segment, preventing it from being overwritten.
  • Wave Guard Parking Monitoring: When your vehicle is parked and the ignition is off, the Wave Guard system will activate. If motion is detected around the vehicle, the camera will automatically start recording.

3.3 Menu Navigation

Use the buttons on the side of the camera (Up, Down, OK, Menu/Emergency) to navigate through settings and playback options. Refer to the on-screen prompts for specific functions.
